Nice drop on this model. Considering the specs and other options out there, it's pretty tempting. The screen size is perfect for me, I'm used to a 13" Macbook, which I thought i'd never get on with, but actually it's great. Just a shame my Macbook isn't full HD... or touchscreen for that matter (did pop and SSD in it though)

The IPS FHD screen on this is a winner in my book and with this being £349.97, I might have to grab one for my travels. I was thinking about it at £379.99 last time, so now my brain is ticking away... great more tech

It has an i3-6006U dual core chip, 4GB Ram, 128gb SSD and a backlit keyboard (I can't be the only one that get's excited about backlit keyboards, can I?) Pretty good balance of specs if you ask me.

Overall for what you're paying, I can't think of anything that outright slams it, in terms of features. Anyway, I could waffle on for ages...

Must be an old MacBook then as been 2k for years as well as SSD.. but this …Must be an old MacBook then as been 2k for years as well as SSD.. but this is a very good deal

Yeah it is, I've had it since 2015 and I think it's a 2012 model. It's still a decent machine, It just needed a kick up the backside with an SSD. Was more aiming at this size really. I thought I'd not get on too well with a smaller screen. Was planing on getting a 15" minimum, but not so fussed now. (Used to a 29" UW monitor)
I have a MacBook late 2008 2GHz with SSD and 8GB ram still working but have casing has had better days lol..Thinking of getting a new laptop will look in to this.
Been looking at the Chrome Acer Spin and it's more expensive than this offer and has a lesser spec along with ChromeOS being free. How does that even make sense? Seems a hot deal this though.
is it worth it since it uses a dual core processor from 2016?
Most products I see now almost always have quad core processors, and phones are going all octacore now.

No gaming machine, but will do day to day tasks with no sweat. These i3's are more than enough for browsing, office and movies- simultaneously.
For similar money to the OP's above ...

Wouldn't this be a better bet all round?, or:

Is this one a fair bit better?
Wish there was way to install Google supported Chrome OS on this . The chromebooks with similar specs are so expensive.

I3 is definately better than Pentium even if they are the same silicon. I have learned it from experience. The Pentiums and celerons are all crippled by Intel. So it won't support any of the new cpu features. It is all this crippling technology, locked multipliers, locked intel motherboard chipsets which makes Intel so evil. Also with Currys, you get forced to use their Team Knowhow , team of liars and cheats , who outsource warranty repair , so you cannot go directly to Acer/ manufacturer in case of fault within warranty if product was bought from Currys/PCWorld monster.

I'm tempted by this.

Just in case anyone else wants to know you can upgrade the ram to 16gb on these

Maximum Memory:16GB
Standard Memory:8GB removable
Slots:2 (2 banks of 1)

Could also swap the ssd if you wanted more space it's m2
