Basic spec and rubbish 1366 x 768 resolution for 2018 but this version has 128GB storage compared to the 64GB version which was £155 last week until it went out of stock, so this is an even better deal if you're looking for a basic entry level laptop. I doubt that you'll find a cheaper mainstream laptop from a UK retailer.

Thanks OP, nearly went for the 64gb previously, and I think this was £179 a few days ago, so another saving. Hoepfully this will be ideal for my 9 yr old daughter

Bargain, have some heat
EMMC storage. Not suitable for anything medium duty. But still a reasonable price of a web browsing/streaming laptop
Video review / unboxing:

Hmm very tempted. I just want something to quickly look up info/walkthroughs when gaming upstairs on consoles.
I think this will do the job!

I thought so too but can't stand tablets lol and chromebooks not sure I like the look of those. Seems limited and I donno something about them puts me off. Expensive for what they are too. Call me daft but I like Windows when it comes to computers. Don't mind Android/Google for my phone though.

Though tbh, I do not know what a chromebook can do so I could be enlightened? lol.
I want to be able to do everything offline and install any software I want. Can you do all this on a Chromebook?

You're 100% correct about Chromebooks. I've had one for several years. Fine if you only need something very basic and you don't really do anything outside of a browser window, but ultimately they're very frustrating devices because they're so limited.

I'd always go for a Windows laptop over a ChromeOS one.

Yeh, I do only want it for very basic stuff but I still don't want to be limited. I like the choice to do things even if I only ever intend to do basic things. Needs might change later and as always with PC stuff it's best to have options for potential upgrades or changes.

They are limited, but if it's just for walkthroughs, the price, fast boot and battery are perfect.

They don't cost much different, but as I said uf just for walkthroughs its perfect, if its for other stuff youve not mentioned then probably not perfect.
