I hate to sound negative but I'm not sure that it's that good of a deal to be fair. Not when you can get this:

currys.co.uk/gbu…011

for the same money (or less if the discount code works) for an i7 processor version. Just another option...

Each to his own, but the one you quote is an 8th gen cpu.

Agreed. However, the i7 8th gen will outperform the i5 10th in certain areas. Bare that in mind too. I can only speak for myself but I would purchase the i7 over the i5 in this particular case. Saying that, I wouldn't spend that amount of money on this laptop anyway as I'm not keen on it - as a whole 'spec' package. From a purely 'cosmetic' angle, I don't think it's a very "pretty" laptop...

Ok.

As you say - each to their own.

I've got a Surface Laptop 3 with a i5-1035G7 and I'm really happy with it. I don't think an 8th Gen i7 outperforms the 10th Gen Ice Lake i5 in any situation. Have a look at the benchmarks here.

Anandtech review

As I've got a G7, the integrated GPU is also significantly faster than the UH620 and is actually faster than an Nvidia MX250.

Having said that, I wouldn't get this laptop as it's only a G1. I'd much rather get something with a G7 CPU.
