You could always tell the well off kids at our school, they used to come back after the summer holidays with new shoes and a nice tan.
I'd usually return with a black eye and a new surname.

Is OA the official electrical appliance supplier to DNA - the National Dyslexia Association?
They are on Gogglebox. Ya git me?
More tickle than Ken Dodds props.lol
Well this is a Y-series ULV i5; and i3 is the same silicon and architecture as your i7 so what's your point? i7 is mostly marketing for the uninformed - you pay a lot more and basically just get Turbo Boost that isn't sustained when it hits TDP.
Quidco is quite unpredictable now a days, TopCashBack is recommended.
i would say the same about sony vaio z21
There isn't really anything like the VAIO Z series now, except the US/Japan only (non-Sony) Vaio S.
However, silence is blissful. With the performance now available from ULV processors, fanless should really be an 'Ultrabook' pre-requisite. The Acer looks like a great deal.
Usually only get that with Apple fans.....
Nice Kevin Bridges rip off
Great find!
Only difference is that Cashback comes from the amount ex VAT, so is £72 in this case.
Final price including Cashback = £647.99
Actually mate, it was a letter in Viz back when Kevin Bridges was still in primary school.
At least I'm not getting paid for using other people's material, unlike Kev.
it was a 'tongue in cheek' comment re Apple fans; not fans in Apple devices...
I was just stating I paid £650 for a similar spec? i7 this years or last blows the i3s out the water on any benchmark test. People keep posting i3 deals which I'd avoid. Pay that bit extra of i5 or i7
Why? You haven't even asked what these people are using their computers for, other than bragging rights and a little bit of extra Turbo Boost what exactly do you think you get from an i5 or i7 that you don't get with an i3?
Speed?
Everyone knows the biggest bottleneck in a modern PC is hard disk vs. SSD. While I agree that if I paid £650 for a laptop I would kind of expect an i5, if you gave me the option of an i3 and a 1TB SSD or better display (for example), I'd take that over an i5. I bet in a blind test you could not tell the difference between an i3 and an i5, especially when we're talking ultraportables where it's predominately productivity work or internet, not gaming or content creation.
Yes totally, if I get an SSD and no storage disk then it has to be at least 256GB but I think in this price range that's generally what you get?
