Hmm, toss up between this, and the UL30A at the carphone warehouse...

So so deal, as i think specwise very similar

What's not to like !

Tempted, but how does the cashback thing work?

Can't find anything about it on the site!

Doh: http://www.acerdirect.co.uk/aspire_timeline_cashback/page.asp

I've done these before. They usually try and find fault with the details on the form you send back, and try not hand out the cashback.

hows this compare to the 1810tz?

They both look very similiar.

This has a slightly (really small) better performing CPU.
The UL30a seems to have a better battery life.
This has 1gb more ram
Both have the same GPU I believe.
Both look pretty good. UL30a has a slight edge imo
This has a 64bit OS compared to the 32bit more compatible OS on the UL30a

Specs here

hows this compare to the 1810tz?

Same processor, bigger screen (1810tz is 11.6"), more ram as standard (although I'ved upped my 1810TZ to 4GB), I never seem to get more than 4 to 5 hours battery, but I do have screen full brightness and wifi on. Think most 1810TZs come with 250GB HDDs too whereas this is 320gb, think graphics card is also the same (my sticker states: Intel GMA 4500MHD UP to 1308 MB DVMT, which means nothing to me!)

I would go for Asus over Acer every day of the week.
