I have one of these (actually an i5 / 1080 / SSD version bought from a HUKD deal a year or so ago) and while I like it generally, (1) the screen is abysmal for viewing angles (not sure whether this screen, which is a 1366x768 effort, will have the same problems; and (2) the touchpad is just woeful. Google V3-371 and you'll find countless tales of woe re the touchpad. I always use a mouse so it doesn't affect me (and I knew all about the problems before buying and weighed that into the decision), but most will want the touchpad to function properly - if so, look elsewhere.
I also own this model which I have since upgraded with 8GB RAM and SSD.

Cons:
Poor screen (bad viewing angles).
Wifi is appalling.
Driver issues.

Pros:
Lightweight
Slim
Great Battery Life
Not overly expensive (I probably would recommend it at this price given the issues it has).
Just to emphasize pledmonds's comment, my trackpad only partially works now and is prone to freezing. It is simply the worst trackpad I have ever used. Similarly, the screen is OK but don't move your head around too much. My white case has also started turning pink where it comes into contact with skin, clothes etc (this can be minimised using a rubber eraser!)

For the money this laptop is OK but you should be aware of its shortcomings.

Yeah forgot about the track pad, I have had some issues with it but not many.

Who ever is thinking about buying this, check the acer forums first as there are several topics on issues with this model.
had one for few days, appalling screen.

Good price though.

I had a slightly different model and used the Disable/Enable of the trackpad to get around the freezing issue.

After going through multiple forums it turns out Acer do not put enough earthing tape on the trackpad. My Sony Vaio has a big slice of earthing tape while the Acer has a thin strip. I removed the earthing strip and added it to the Acer and the problem (so far) has gone away - YMMV. Problem effects most Acer laptops over the last six years. Garbage!

Appreciate the feedback. Do you find the usb 3.0 transfers data much much faster? I'd need this to be reliable for what I need it for. Thanks in advance

Apparently, these have a touchpad freezing issue where the touchpad becomes unresponsive due to part of it not being grounded properly due to Acer using conductive tape (which can degrade over time). One of the V5s also suffered from this issue.

This with ChromeOS would be fantastic. May buy it and try a dual-boot.
