Can be used with HUKD special partner offer which may bring the price down a bit

Edit: £267.29 delivered with HUKD partner offer

The HUKD partner offer brings the price down to £267.29. This looks like a bargain to me!

Thanks DJTiredboy

Ray just calculated the same too.. OP updated.

Yep comes to £267.29 but I don't like that it doesn't state what graphics card.

Is it that much of a problem at that price?

I've just done a quick search using the model number and all the information points to:

Graphics Controller: SiS Mirage 3

It's being marketed towards the business user by the looks of it.

Good price, personally I'd go with the quad core from Tesco but this is a bit cheaper and you get a monitor.

The graphics cards on all these computers are just intergrated junk. They will work fine for general use but if you're serious about games then put a different card in. I'd rather be able to choose which card than be forced to pay for the card they choose.

Pls dont expire threads unnecessarily... not a healthy attitude to be tolerated

Yeah, I think people get that now. Especially as it's pointed out repeatedly on any low-end computer deal post.

A reasonably specced PC that will handle all the tasks 99% of computer users buy a PC for, and handle them well, along with a 19" TFT for a little over £260. Are people expecting these to be monster gaming rigs?

Easy tiger, I was just pointing it out as someone didn't seem to like the deal because of it.

I think we're both on the same side here!!

Apologies. Reading back my response, it may have come across as a little aggressive. . . .

No worries, just highlighting that the graphics is pretty standard and doesn't make this less of a deal.

Sorry for my thickness is this pc comparable to a Pentium 4, 2.8ghz 512ram, I only use the internet but I can't stand a slow computer! Will this do the trick for me?

Thanks

Yes, plus you'd give yourself a bit more future proofing as your current setup is on now defunct kit :-)

2.8ghz p4 isnt defunct, just give it a fresh install of xp sp3 and upgrade ram to 1gig and it should be nice and fast and last at least another 12 months

Has anyone here actually bought this? Just got my discount activated.

Thanks for the replys, I want the PC for my daughter and I know that my P4 is fast enough for our requirements, I just wanted to check that it was comparable. Looks like I'm gonna make a purchase!

cracking little deal.....voted hot.

voted hot - anybody know if the fan will support an additonal graphics card?

Tried to order but out of stock.

Actually, I've just been able to release what is truly the last machine. The stock control held a buffer of one but it's first come, first served. We can't repeat this exact deal.
