The acer rt280k 4k 28 inch monitor for 200 changed my pricing perspective to be honest. Although it wasn't an ips. This monitor seems a good price, but not hot for me. Just a shame that an extra 100 gets you the same model but 4k.
£200 and ips? What's the catch

I bought this recently from ccl for a higher price and loved it. I have a dell xps 13 (9370 2018 model) which has only USB C ports and this monitor has USB C 3.1. This means I can connect this directly to my Dell XPS13 and get it to display on the monitor as well as have kb and mouse connected to the monitor. I've ordered my second now from Ebuyer.

Nothing, i bought a shimian QHD IPS from ebay for not much over £200 5 years ago lol.
Id expect this price by now.
A great deal.

4k involves a lot of investment, power supply, graphics card and processor. This and a 1050i is the best compromise.

This avoids looking at the the korean alternatives from e-bay which are inconsistant and provide little recourse of things go wrong.

My thoughts exactly.

Not another one! Why are VESA mounts being scrimped on at this price point? As soon as a 27"/32" at this price point has VESA, I will be all over it.
It's definitely worth the dough in my opinion, seen the monitor in action and it's actually not that bad. deal right here!

Are these any good for gaming? I'm not looking for competitive fps gaming (maybe some casual pubg with friends)
'Acer’s H277HU received an “Excellent” rating from PCMag.com, but as we found in our testing and they point out in their review, the color skews red and its stand is limited to tilt adjustments only.'
thewirecutter.com/rev…or/

Other sites seem to complain about inability to tilt.

How would this compare to the U2715H?
Dell model has 99% RGB where thios has 97% RGB.
Dell model is £160 more.
Dynamic contrast is 2000000:1 vs 1000000:1 So Dell would win that battle.

Guess main concern is the comment about red colouring albeit one site suggested you could fix this.

'Monitor Version Number: I received the monitor and discovered that I had been sent the H277HU kmidpx (non-USB-C version) with the box mislabeled. I was concerned that the store posting was wrong because the model numbers are so close and it is hard to tell them apart on listings. Luckily, the store that provided the product was quick at responding to my complaint and sent a replacement in under a week. The replacement was the correct version (H277HU kmipuz) that was on the listing and has the USB-C!'

Make sure they send you the correct model. I am really tempted here.

Lots of customer reviews on Amazon.com site. None on the UK site.

97% sRGB, and a measly 70% AdobeRGB.

If this had a VESA fitting would be spot on.

Yeah I don't see why not. You may want to go 144hz for competitive games if you are really serious about them but 1440p @ 60hz will be a great experience for you by the sounds of it. Just make sure you have a good enough card to push 1440p in the games you want to play.
I've been waiting an entire year for a decent sell, I may go for it, anyone know if its overclockable to lime 75hz
Currys currently sell this for £349 and are calling it a mega deal. Aria for £334 or so.

So £200 seems a good deal here. Voted hot.
So i bought this yesterday to replace my 22 inch monitor.

So the bezel on side is barely noticeable. Screen starts at 1440 resolution when you load. I used an HDMI cable. Perhaps I wasn't pushing in the DP cable enough. You have to get used to the small text. You can always adjust settings I guess.

Screen is very bright with the whites so you may want to adjust brightness. Not tried videos on it yet. Should be good with games that can use 1440p settings.

No HDMI cable in the case. Comes with a DP cable.
thanks i ordered

finger crossed it a good monitor

Not the same version .

really?? how do you tell

cant find the modle number
Version on box from Ebuyer says H277HU SMIPUZ.
Version on Amazon -H277HUsmipuz
Looks same to me. Downside is Amazon show a 2-4 week delivery time.

Ebuyer are selling it on Amazon for £364. Acckkkk.
Just set mine up. I can only compare it to the similar priced Hannspree HQ272PPB.
I'd say the panels are similar, so good colours out of the box.
Speakers are much, much better on the Acer
Design is better on the Acer
'OC' goes to 85hz
A small amount of backlight bleed on the bottom right corner, not enough to bother me.
Price is now £307.
