Bought this yesterday in our local Argos. Looks excellent value with a good quality image and even onboard sound. Not sure how many are available nationally but I was lucky.

I thought the same but I'm not complaining. It's well built and better than I thought it was going to be especially for £200!!

1024 x 768 resolution = HDready so yes it is HD just not full HD. 3D ready supposedly.

Nope. HD ready is atleast 1280 x 720 resolution with a HDCP capable Digital input, this doesn't have either.

This does also have a d-sub input

Actually they only count vertical lines so anything with more than 720 lines is considered hd ready (as long as it meets all the other requirements too).

This is HD Ready as you can play videos at 720p e.g. if you connect your laptop/pc to the projector via VGA and then play a Blu-Ray film it will display in HD.

It's going to be a massive problem for most users without a HDMI port, how are you going to push a HD movie or sports from a Sky box or Blu Ray for example.

Well my Sky HD box does not have RGB component, this should have had HDMI with HDCP.

Good call. My box is really old so I guess Sky have changed them since then.

They have, Sky HD boxes used to have component connections but they haven't for at least a year.
