great deal whizz - thanks:thumbsup:

looks a good monitor for the price

It's cheap, but quite low resolution for the size of the screen.
Max Resolution 1366 x 768 - This is not Full HD as stated futher up the post.

Plus only has a VGA input not DVI or HDMI (although again this is cheap, and often monitors don't come with these features at anything like this price)

Cheap but it's totally obsolete, voted cold.

voted hot. not everyone needs all the newest features.

brillient price if u want a second monitor defiently a hot!!!

Come on many people are still using 1024x768 monitors,This is an absolute bargain,

HOT!!! Great looking monitor too.

this is cheap but then it is pretty crappy.

How is it obsolete?
Thats like saying dvd is obsolete because there is a newer format out.

just ordered one, seems a great price. Should be able to plug my xbox 36 into it via the vga port as well and using my hi-fi for sound...

no, this is more like SVHS - functional, but no longer supported by the vast majority of modern releases (most graphics cards these days sport 2xDVI input).

I think this would be a great piece of kit for someone to use as a second monitor - but given that you can now get 22" monitors for under £100, I would say that for a main monitor, it'D be worth it to find the extra money from somewhere.

Yeh its like no new laptops are coming with vga, or that new graphics card I bought a few weeks ago that had a vga port.

yep my home pc is vga and my xbox 360 has a vga port - this will last several years for me before having to upgrade again... Got my 50" plasma for normal tv/movie watching...

Yep my Acer Aspire One from Tesco has a vga port, and my other laptop has.

Max Resolution 1366 x 768 - Cold

lol, did i miss something? When did VGA become obsolete?

1366 x 768 is a perfect resolution for 18.5 inch, it's all relative to the size of the monitor anyway and 1366 x 768 will be perfect.

Ordered and voted HOT.

VGA isn't obsolete - but it is outdated, and superceded.

and you can still buy VCRs - argos.co.uk/web…der - but that doesn't mean it's on a par with DVD technology. Yes, VGA is still usable, but it is definitely a drawback in a modern monitor to not support either DVI or HDMI.

and at 18.5", the very least I would expect is 1440x900 resolution. this is a below average monitor, at a below average price. If thats what you are looking for, thats great - but I personally think that in this case, the economies of price do not justify the economies of features.

I've only got my 22" widescreen on 1280x768 - because otherwise everything is too small. It'll go to 1680x1250 if you want things in about font size 4 :w00t: The picture looks ok to me.

not a very good monitor but for the price if you only use it for browsing the internet or the like it be fine

JHW - if you have VISTA, right click on the desktop, go to View>Large Icons. You can do it in XP as well (but i can't remember how), and you can set all the defaults to make everything a nicer size to read. and you'll have the bonus of making pictures look significantly neater.

In XP you right click on the destop, select properties, select the 'Appearance' tab in the Display Properties window, and change Font size to Large or Extra Large.

This is a very good deal despite what the doubters are saying.

Voted Hot and ordered.

People are stupid. For £60 you are getting a nice looking large monitor.

You can not get a comparable one with 1080p + and dvi/hdmi connectors for that price.

Bought for a business PC, for internet use, and video recording/editing (no, not HI-DEF).

Perfect.

To the haters. I guess you will just have to lie in your beds and smother yourself with oxygen free, gold plated, HDMI cables until you orgasm.

The snobbery astounds me.

Expired. Just gone up to £79 or £74 with the code.
