Would have gone for this if it was zero frame to match my other Acer monitor, but this is still a great deal! Heat added! Noticed a recent dip in monitor prices, love it!

Is it a HDR screen?

It is?? If it's not too much trouble, could you take a close up pic of the monitor? Just want to see if it's the same monitor design as my 60hz one, can't seem to find real life pictures of this monitor anywhere online lol

Considering it's TN, under £200 with 1080p/240hz what do you think? OFC it isn't!
i got this from ebuyer a few days ago for a bit cheaper and i can't wait to try it
Okay okay okay. I get that some special people can tell the difference between 60fps and 144fps (watched Linus do it and for some reason I assume that to be the average level of human capacity), but 240fps... Come on?!

Heat tho for the brand, the look, the price and the FPS count.

480fps anyone?

You don't need to be "special" to notice the difference, in CSGO not feeling nauseous or dizzy is great, just get one for yourself and you'll see the massive difference. I'd prefer a higher refresh over resolution, now I know that is personal preference but I use to be the other way around until I tried 144hz, I think the minimum I'd want now is 100hz for any gaming tasks although for anything else then a minimum of 60hz is sufficient.
Even for something as mundane as scrolling down a website or moving the mouse cursor around, I clearly notice whether it's on my 60hz or 144hz monitor. Obviously it isn't important, but it's very noticeable!

On ebuyer it's dearer.

My son is a pro rocket league player and seems to want a high HZ refresh rate as possible.

Does he really need a 240hz monitor for this? Just wondered ad I'm not a gamer but want to get a monitor for his birthday but he won' accept lower than 144hz.
Thanks
I'm useless at tech specs, but would this be good for the X Box One X?

I get noticing the difference at 144fps maybe, but I was referring to 240 specifically. I've never tried so I'm not in the position to say, but I can't imagine it - not bashing, generally curious

I have a 144 and have tried afew 240 for me personally I can't see hardly any difference 144 is smooth as hell anyway, I play bf and pubg mainly.

Apologies for the poo lighting, but here it is, it's a beautiful monitor, I highly recommend it!

I mainly play rocket league and 240hz isnt a necessity, but for £200 it is worth it. It is spending an extra £50 or so for an extra 100hz (considering the average price for a decent 144hz monitor).

Oh wow, that IS the same monitor design I have!! No where on the site does it show this, if you zoom in to the picture on the site there is literally a frame there haha
Thank you so much for taking this picture, may have to go for this monitor now, love the zero frame of Acer monitors, the frames tend to be very very thin, and they look so good! Thanks once again pal!

No worries! glad I could help you out!

Only for 1080p gaming. Xbox One X does support Freesync on beta test firmware but not mainstream quite yet. The beta is also not that great - not bad but nothing to write home about.

Anyway, I would skip this for Xbox One X and buy a "cheap" 1440p monitor.

@AceyUK Hey, super dumb question but I'm a little baffled. How on earth do I set this to 240Hz? I've been through all of the settings on the monitor itself and through windows settings/Nvidia settings and the max it'll output for me is 120Hz.
what hdmi are you using , i think hdmi 1.4 can only do 120hz max 1080p, you need hdmi 2.0 for 240hz

Using DP 1.2
right click desktop then display settings then click display adapter properties and under monitor tab should have option to select the 240hz, thats how i do it anyway.

I've managed to create a custom profile 1920x1080 @ 144Hz but for some reason it won't up to 240Hz. Might just be a graphics card limitation possibly.

Not a dumb question, messed with me too! it IS in the nvidia settings, I missed it a few times
33809177-BBZ8z.jpgAlthough even after that, in my actual monitor settings (not nvidia), it thinks its 120hz, but its definitely at 240hz. it recognizes that its 240hz now

@AceyUK hmm, super strange, I can only seem to get mine to output a max of 144Hz at 1080p. I'd say its definitely a graphical limitation then (still running a GTX660, although after researching around people have said it can output 240Hz), I'm waiting to upgrade but just waiting for the prices to drop a little more first. Thanks for the help and the screenshot Much appreciated.
Bugger. Payday and I was hoping this deal would still be on!
