Back down in price again. Just missed this last time around and have been hoping the price would drop again.

Sorry for being thick, but does the freesync thing mean it is also potentially 144Hz?

i think the freesynch means u can play more fluidly at lower fps rate without as much tearing, depending on your hardware setup

Freesync doesn't mean 144Hz, it works on a range and that range can be pretty much anything. I could have a freesync 60Hz monitor and freesync would just apply from 30hz to 60. Manufacturer should know what the range is, or reviews.

Freesyncs for eliminating screen tear as CampGareth said within a range of the monitors Hz.

In this case, it's a slightly crap 48-75, meaning any drops in frames per second in game below 48-ish will result in juddery game play. You'd need a decent GPU to not drop into the lower range, and on modern demanding games (such as BF1, The Division etc) at ultra pre-sets you'd definitley drop down into the lower end of that with an AMD card at the mo.
If you're going 1440p ultra-wide and play at high/ultra settings (getting the most for your money you've just spent on an ultra-wide), you really want a GTX 1080, and sadly that means paying Nvidia G-Sync tax that normally bungs another £100 on your monitor, and due to the lack of AMD competition, considerably more for your GPU.

Does not mention "freesync" anywhere for this screen, this monitor has "Adaptive-Sync".
Yep just when your getting your head round the technology they throw confusion into the mix to keep you guessing

It does on the deal link, and on a few other websites. They never make stuff clear lol.

Not on AMD's list of certified screens???

(Link below. Scroll halfway down the page and click the monitors tab for the list)

**** price

£530 for a QHD 34" ultrawide is an amazing price! They go for £500 used on Ebay! The people who voted this down are clearly clueless about monitors. Wish I'd have spotted this before, now it's gone up in price.
