hmmm am tempted, after a new monitor to go next to my x34a
Buyer beware with Acer. You roll the dice when you buy their panels. Cheap unreliable parts and a lottery when it comes to quality control.

Think your being abit dramatic + amazon returns/refunds etc are the best in the world.

My x34a hasn't given me any problems, yes ok some people have had problems but not every single panel is doom and gloom
Does this have vesa fitting? It doesn't say on the Amazon listing. the pics look like it doesn't. If not is there an adapter to mount it?

Scan specs leave the space blank

That’s the thing about lotteries. You can still end up winning. All I know is that i can’t sit by and let people spend £750-£800 without people being aware that these products have well documented issues that have affected more people than just myself.

Good job, you got a monitor that works. Not everyone will and while amazon returns are great, you shouldn’t have to return it in the first place. So the warning stands.

Needs to be less than half that price.

Not voting either way.

Yes it's like a 27" with more of your horizontal vision filled. Had a 27" and was considering going triple monitor but this was definitely a better option. I believe you get used to whatever size and resolution you have. You'll appreciate the higher refresh rate for far longer.
24 is dead on for 1080p but you want bigger screens for higher resolutions

Agreed, I have a Swift Rog 27" 1440p, great for gaming & generally pc use, but I could do with an ultra wide when working from home. Very tempted to get an ultra wide but can't seem to pull the trigger just yet
I bought this monitor in the black friday warehouse deal (£630 "used - very good" amazon 20% off warehouse deal, damaged box, perfect monitor *phew*) and it's sensational in nearly every way. It took a lot to pull the trigger as it's many bags of gold, but stepping up from my old 27" is like night and day, the picture is far better and motion is incomparable (I have a nvidia gpu so g-sync is on), the screen real-estate means that when not playing superwidescreen games you effectively have 2 monitors without a line between them, I can have WoW the same size as my old 27" (and looking better) and have various other programmes (or films etc.) running next to it.
A lot of money, but a lot of monitor.
*edit* - worth noting that as it's 3440x1440, if you want to run it in native res for newer games, you need a hefty graphics
