It would thrash a PS4 Pro at 1080p, handily. As an example I play Dirt Rally maxed out at around 90-100fps on my laptop, the most I can get on PS4 Pro is 60fps and (massively simplifying things here) that’s missing the fact that the Pc version has longer draw distances and greater vegetation detail. I play Steep on both PC and PS4 Pro and the difference in draw distance alone is insane It’s the same across tons of games. It’s things like environments being much more richly detailed, better population levels in RPGs, better smoke/dirt effects etc. Console gaming is great but once you move to PC you start to realise what you’ve been missing out on (and what you’ve been paying much more for
Don't know much about gaming laptops being a console gamer so I was wondering what a laptop with these specs could offer in comparison to a PS4 Pro as I might take the plunge. Say The Division 2 or Resident Evil 2, as an example. Would this laptop run it better than a PS4 Pro? Primarily I've been used to 30fps/60fps at 1080p
"The keyboard was like pressing on an omelette" (lol) Absolutely cracking comment, ahaha!
Sorry your right
Anyone interested in this should go to their local PC World to try the keyboard and trackpad out. I had a Nitro and had to send it back. They keyboard was like pressing on an omelette and there was a good amount of travel on the trackpad before it registered a click. Mine also had a very poor screen but I understand there has been a slight revision to the models in that time so might be a little better. The Nitro line is a world away from the Helios laptops. Obviously the price reflects that but make sure you're ok with the compromises.
