Acivequipment Mini Pump for £1!!! at Tesco Direct

Found 15th Mar 2014
Whilst searching for a cheap something on Tesco Direct to take an order over £50 to use a money-off code, I came across this little fella.

£1 for a mini-pump with mounting bracket. Admittedly, it's unlikely to be a patch on one by Specialized, Topeak et al, but it might do the trick as a spare and, for a quid, who can complain?

I'll be keeping mine in the boot for the emergency top-up of a footy now and then.

friend bought a 1 pound pump from poundland. most useless thing ever. it deflated the tyre. went to halfords for a proper one which cost 3 quid.

ordered thanks

I think it's hilarious that people will actually buy and trust a pound pump X) ... imagine getting a puncture miles from anywhere in the p*ssing rain, stood at the side of the road and crying because the pump won't work

Unbelievable

Agree with the above comments.
Been there. Got a cheap tesco mini pump. Regretted it first use.
I did enjoy the walk home though

can back up those comments. absolutely useless when 'working' and falls apart very quickly. it may only be a pound, but it's a pound you can put to better use.

Pump up a punctured tyre and you'll have to stop to pump it up again further on up the road. In p!ssing rain, you'll get wet. Stop to change and inflate the tyre and, in p!ssing rain, I'm fairly certain you'll still get wet. Once you're wet, you're wet.

Not a Tour de France piece of kit, but did lift my order 50p over the £50 threshold to benefit from a £10-off code. So I thought it was worth sharing.

Ironically, I was ordering a £49.50 umbrella.

What are you on about? Of course you'll get wet but if the pump doesn't work you'll be stood out in it getting cold whilst trying to get hold of the mrs.

And even if the pump DOES work, you'll still be outside in the rain pumping up the tyre before continuing your onward journey in the rain. Wet is wet.
