I have purchased many DAB radios over the years. They have all been reasonably good apart from this. I live in a strong reception area. However it is impossible to receive any station to a reasonable level. Dont waste your money. You get what you pay £16.99 for - absolute rubbish. Acoustic Solutions was, at one time, a quality brand. Not so now.

Can anyone confirm if the battery is built-in as the description says 'Plug into the mains for all day listening or pop in some batteries to take your music with you'? Thanks

Thanks. Absolute bargain then for one with a re-chargeable battery!

In last couple of years I have bought a few Dab radios as gifts, so family can enjoy music whilst in garden in good weather. I always make sure they are fine before giving them. My old one packed up a few weeks ago and I saw this, best radio I have ever had or heard.

Look at specifications it is not a small tinny radio it is 11 x 7 inches and is a lot heavier than you would think it would be, so much that I weighed it 1600g I know the rechargeable battery adds weight and the rest will be from the speakers which are excellent.

This isn’t a bargain just because of price, but because it is such a Good Radio.

I thought that the last time it was on offer around this price (as it regularly is) but it went back within a few days. Rechargeable battery is tiny and runs down in less than a day, even when the radio is not used! It honestly isn't worth a fiver as it's close to unusable as a rechargeable. There's a reason these things appear to be so cheap. Awful landfill junk.

Still, lots of people will vote hot for the apparent bargain, a few will actually buy it and regret their decision. Read the comments and trust multiple former 'victims'.

Not a great radio, its OK if you run it off the mains, as the battery is useless.
Mine arrived and is a fabulous returned item with someone else's fingerprints all over it.
Ordered the Plumb one for £13:99

There was a £5 code off any purchase at the top of the page so worth checking.
Impressed myself for the price , mint condition
Sent mine back. Faulty absolute s**t
I bought the plum version of this. It's great for the price and runs on battery equally well. Very happy.
Lent this to my daughter who lives a mile away. It was fine on mains, but signal dropped on battery. I was getting about five to six hours on battery. She could only get a couple of hours. Still deciding about whether or not to return

Had the exactly the same reception issue and had to return it , to me this is a poorly designed radio and not worth buying no matter how cheap it is .
