As I said, I’m not going to argue with you about this. You are obviously passionate against zoos, and that’s fine with me.
The animal experience in cambs isn't a zoo, they have a selection of snakes and other reptiles etc which they use for educational trips and things . The meerkats however are a small group with new enclosures and outside areas . I was lucky enough to visit this year and the staff who took us through our visit very obviously adored the animals. we also got our visit via buyagift and it was about £10 cheaper than this, but that's dependant on how many offer codes you can stack at a time.
But they shouldn't of been born in captivity in the first place Also you don't know they would die in the wild, if they did then dying by nature is much better then spending your whole life in a glass cage to be laughed at by thousands of heartless ****** till you die of age If they go extinct then so be in. Also wouldn't the animals being extinct be due to being taken to put in Zoos? How are animals going to evolve and survive if all Animals in the Future are all born in Captivity?
I'm not going to argue about this, but you must remember that the majority of animals in zoos have been bred in captivity, and if released it the wild, they would not survive very long. Added to this is the fact that many animals would have gone into extinction without the help of zoos. Zoos are more than a display of wild animals, for they have moved on from being attractions to research facilities and the protection of endangered species. I don't like to see animals in cages either, but I have to weigh my emotions with the realities of the world we live in.
