Save your money I went to the cinema to watch this film it’s crap
If the HUKD critics hate it, there's a good chance I'll love it. Ordered!...

Never took to this one; not up to all the hype.
Great price!

Yep, utter rubbish. Everyone in it looks bored to be in it.
Fairly dull film and will look even more dull with more detail!

Personally thought it was rubbish turned it off after 30 mins
Film never gets going. Pitt is one of the worst actors around.

Just watch it and see if it justifies you sitting there bored to death.

I’ve seen it. I was asking how you know it’s rubbish if you’ve only watched 30 minutes.
I personally enjoyed this film, it felt like a throw back to Stanley Kubrick. I get it's not for everyone, but just because it's not your cup of tea doesnt make it a bad film.
Really nice looking film.. interesting idea and story, bit slow going but I like these kind of films..however ending was my biggest problem , just stop watching when he gets to the spaceship and you will be happier in the mystery of what will happen next (oh the suspense), rather than actually having the whole movie ruined by it. Big expensive beautiful build up to one major "meh".

It is a bad film. Very bad. People comparing it to Kubrick
I liked it but its personal preference, like recommending a food takeaway shop. Who cares what other people think

There are absolutely comparisons to be made. Maybe they were just too subtle for you.
Heat added

Depends what you want from your scifi. I loved it. The thinking man's scifi. Brad Pitt's best acting for years.

Depends if you want lots of explosive action or something that makes you think.

It's your opinion. Many critics liked it.
So the consensus is that if you don't like it you are not cerebral enough

The justifications for bad nothing films these days. And I like Brad Pitt!

Genuine question. What did it make you think?
Long boring film
I saw this the other day and actually quite enjoyed it.
It's not a big alien explosions action film, it's quite thoughtful.
What happens when the moon becomes easily accessible, how does it play out with different factions, what are the impact on people's mental health with long durations in space, especially wrt to close relationships, how does humanity's view of itself change if it discovers there is no other life out there.
So not really themes typical of sci fi and I found them to be interestingly explored. Space was really just a very beautiful (cinematically speaking) backdrop.
I did notice the parallels with 2001, the steady breakdown of character, the jump from ship to station, and even the flashing circular images.
Looks great, sounds great, and it's a great concept but, probably the most disappointing film I've ever seen. Runs out of steam very quickly and drags for about an hour and a half
Almost EVERY film with voice over ran into problems in the edit.

Your detailed review consisted of, “Long boring film”, and I’m the troll.

I thought it's depiction of someone dealing with loss, depression, trauma, memory and loneliness was very accurate.
It would be interesting to see the directors cut as I reckon this was cut a lot by the studio. Like, what the hell was Donald Sutherland doing in it? You could have completely removed him from the film and it would have made no difference!

So true
Are we not suppose to rate this a good deal or not? It’s not a movie review website. Fire
Assuming this is an April Fools Joke - iTunes asking people to fork out £5.99 to lose 2 hours of your life?
I think they'd struggle to shift even if they paid you £5.99 to sit through the whole thing.
