The sweet spot SSD this size should be £40-45. Its inching downwards, but ever so slowly. Thes makers and sellers are milking the market and drip feeding for maximum profits.

I have an Adata 120GB that has a SMART value of 481 power-on-days (as the OS drive so regular use not idle). No problems so far, wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Guessing you live on the "isle of old!"? Come fetch it from the mainland or pay to have it sent to that lump of rock you call home!

Delivery to Northern Ireland, Scottish Offshore, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Isle of Wight £5.98-£5.99 depending on where you read on the site. HotUKMainlandDeals FTW.

No but in all seriousness the whole comment was in jest, it was the collect from Portsmouth option that got me the most.
You can afford the hovercraft over, afterall house prices are half what you pay on the mainland..
Accidentally voted cold, sorry
Not much of a deal, really

Oh yes, I remember that, when supply outstripped demand, the pound was worth something and Jonny foreigner knew his place.

The shortage/rise was well forecast and also the easing of the consequent stratospheric prices in the last few months.

Problem is that it was so well forecast many buyers held off for nearly twelve months so even with the advent of volume deliveries of 3D stock the pent up demand is going to keep dollar prices from falling too fast too soon.

Perhaps you should have bought dollars to get a reasonable deal?

Anyone got any insights as to whether it's worth getting the Crucial MX500 over this, at £66.34, apart from the obvious 5 year Crucial guarantee?
