Unless you use an APU it doesn't seem to me that ram speed matters?

I still have 1600 ddr3. Videos show no difference in games 1333 or 2400! Channels matter but speed? Not sure if have a discrete gpu?

It matters more nowadays. How it matters depends on your setup though CPU, GPU, etc.

If you have a budget, this is perfect. £40 for 16GB if your system is intel based, bargain!
