Same here. I've heard and read some great things about this brand. Rather not take my chances with other cheaper brands after some of the stories I've heard about them.
Are these REALLY that much better than Intels 660p 1Tb drive. I got one and in reality it isn't that fast at all. I have an old Samsung evo m.2 and it is much quicker? I don't want to buy this if the erformance is goingto be similar to Intels effort, but if there really is a good increase in performance, I would?

These are faster than the Intel's. Just look at the read and write speeds, Intel drives perform at around half the speed of Samsung or adata ssds
Yes, but in real life? I have a sammy and it is around the speeds of this adata. On paper, but in reality the Intel isn't far behind it? Most decent sata drives are still as snappy as many of these nvme's? In fairness the 960 evo I have is still a fast drive, but you're talking split seconds, unless moving large files, then the intel drops away off as it has no dram cache and needs to be 'flushed' to speed it back up again. Are these adatas similar do you think?

I can only go by the reviews I've seen that say these are just a little slower than the samsungs. Check out this one tomshardware.com/uk/…tml it had the 660p on as well so easy to compare. Although benchmarks aren't real world but still better than nothing I guess.

Yeah, I'll bite the bullet and grab one I think. Storage is storage after all. I'm running out of pcie lanes though with all these 1rb drives hanging out of everywhere! :-) I'll end up with them all running g at half speed shortly, then I wont have any problem with speeds!!!

You could just get the 2tb version that one's at 189.99 atm, cheaper per GB than the 1Tb
