Ordered 2 of these about 4 months ago, still waiting. Ordered a corsair kit, waited 5 months, then cancelled. Amazon don't have a great track record for this type of thing

good price considering 8gb is usually this sort of price right now.

beg to differ - I have ordered OOS items from them many times (incl RAM) and they pretty much always pleasantly surprise with earlier delivery than you were expecting
Too slow
They are showing 32gb of 3000Mhz for £161. In stock on 10th March.

Ordered the 4x 8GB for £161 (same link but now OOS) - cheers OP for the lead - my delivery is 10th March. With my 13% Morrisons discount (on Amazon) that makes it £140 or £35 per 8GB stick of DDR4 RAM

Worth watching in case Amazon decide to re-stock.
I pre-ordered a 64 GB kit ages ago for £322 and there is still no sign about any availability. I bet they will not get stock because they don't won't to sell that cheap with DDR4 prices through the roof.

Depends. Intel sees little benefit from speeds over 2400. Ryzen on the other hand does show more material gains.

I don’t think RAM prices will go down anytime soon, demand is extremely high with pretty much every consumer electronics utilising it for faster performance I/O controllers etc. Ram makers are also benefiting from the price hike

No, I asked luvsadealdealdeal and specifically talk about the 4 x 16GB Kit.

I do mean RAM backorders more than anything else. I agree, they're often fine with most OOS items being fulfilled eventually. My experience with RAM deals is 100% failed to deliver on 3 orders in the last 6 months, 2 orders cancelled, 1 still pending.

I'm also talking about this exact item having been ordered months ago and not yet delivered, so quite relevant to this deal

Lucky you

I think my experience could be related to the fact they were very good deals at the time, and Amazon don't want to honour them. I'm not sure, but I ordered these for under £67 each (still on order), the Corsair 2x4GB kit was under £25 and Ripjaws 2x8GB kit was under £78 (both cancelled).

Out of interested, what speed would you suggest is reasonable for a Ryzen processor?

Native speed is 2400, ideal speed 2800-3000.
After that the performance increase is marginal.
I have preordered 16GB Adata 2400 for 90GBP. And just now found G.Skill 32GB DDR4-3600 32GB for 255GB delivered. Amazing deal for 3600Mhz RAM. Sadly, one kit for this price only. Now it is back to normal - 375GBP.

ADATA 2x16GB was back in stock 2 hours ago for £168.40. Was able to to order 2-sets Amazin price.

I thought it was for 4 sticks of ram mattie and I've been in IT for over 25 years and I kind of assure you I've forgotten more about ram than you will ever know
