Not sure if it’s this one or another with a very similar name that has some questionable practices. Adguard pro offers system wide protection when the spoof vpn is enabled, they do have a free one which I hear has better filtering than the paid pro, but I don’t think it has the vpn. This one only blocks in safari, swings and roundabouts I suppose

I prefer to use the YouTube app and use Adblock @ router level for this as it blocks ads for mostly everything

You’ll need a router that supports Merlin firmware, I use one by ASUS there’s probably other firmwares for other routers but I’ve always been a fan of ASUS so never looked around for alternatives.

It’s not 100% but it blocks most apps especially iOS apps that plaster ads everywhere some ads get through but it’s definitely reduced.

ISP routers isn’t possible as far as I know as they don’t allow custom firmware to be side loaded.

Adguard is one of the few apps worth paying for. Best adblocker on the market.

I use AX88U now for WiFi 6 support ready (hurry VM), before that i used AC5300 and the first one i used was AC88U. They aren't cheap but i use them with VPN profiles as well for gaming + lower ping believe it or not (BO4 BR example)

Tried the AC2900 but too many issues for me so sent it back and got the 88u

List of all the supported devices can be found: github.com/RMe…ces

Pi hole is very popular for this
This safe to use?
Believe me, I hate ads, but am I right in saying by using this it’ll stop things like TopCashback & Quidco from tracking your purchase?
This is regularly free in an effort to get promotion and plays off the fact that they’ve named it similarly to Adblock Plus - which is free and from a reputable company - to confuse people.

Just download the proper Adblock Plus if you don’t want to pay for something like Adguard. apps.apple.com/gb/…868

Nope. You can also whitelist sites. Quidco say disable adbock just so you see ads on quidco website making them even more money

I beleive you'll need a third-party router and no ISP router will let you do this (as far as i know).

I paid for a lifetime licence on android from a russian site for about £6 quid, compared to the £60-odd they charge on their website. I had an old basic bank account that I wasn't using so used that to pay for it just in case but didn't have an issue.

I paid for it on iOS a few years ago so it was there waiting when i got another iPhone last year.

Few updates back people complaining about this so i didn’t update and. Its working perfectly fine for me. Not seen a single ad and at times i need to use different browser because it blocks it (usually hukd get deals links)
Something is free on iOS. Surely a virus
"block this" is a decent one for Android (you have to download it from the official site as an APK).

No rooting needed, just install and it blocks all ads on everything and all browsers.

Just disable it when doing things like buying through TCB
Thanks
great! many thanks. good value
Heat thank you good to see iOS apps on here
