cutmypic.com

Add rounded corners or drop shadows to your images - for FREE. Online and easy to use. A really useful website if you upload pictures to the web and dont want the usual recangular boxes.

Good for things like your own websites, facebook, blogs etc. Saves as PNG format so the curves and shadows will allow any bakground colour or picture they are overlaid onto, to show through. Can also crop the image and see a preview, and save it to your computer or email it.

I dont work for, have any affiliation or make anything from this, purely just thought it was a great service thats not long been launched.

Ok, I don't normally add websites but I had a client which needed to add rounded corners to their pictures to upload to their website, but has no money or graphic skills or software or time to do it themselves. I work for a Website design company so recommended this website which does it all for free. Easy to use, does the job!

Maybe useful for really small pics/low quality etc. Just tried it on a nice photo, saved the results and the quality is appauling. It took a 9 megapixel photo, and returned a less than 0.1 megapixel photo.

Definitely only useful to upload to websites, rather than print quality, but useful if this is all you need. Reduces file sizes etc, so the 9megapixel photo droping to 0.1 pegaspixel is a good thing for web viewing to save time on downloading.

the transparent background on IE6 wont help.

Tad outdated browser in its final throws of life anyway which doesnt support all sorts of functionality and security. Most IE6 users will just see light grey where the transparency would be, so a very minor problem really. I suspect IE6 users will be used to far worse annoyances than this by now.

Could always re-save them a JPEGs though to solve that.
