Thanks for that. Can't get my link to work for some unknown HUKD reason...

I got a laundry basket from Lidl about a week ago. Cost £3.49 so a bit more, but it had handles too. The quality was quite good and they had it in either blue or red.

Having a laundry basket makes the world of difference when you're doing your washing!!

Jeez - so now your clean clothes will kill you unless you splurge out on an *anti-bacterial* laundry basket? Quick - all hide under the bed.

I am sorry but if my clothes out of the washing machine are not bacteria free then there is no chance under my bed will be.

Ah, but under your bed is where they make Yakult, whereas your washing machine is a breeding ground for Ecoli o157 and MRSA.

You're being brow-beaten by people trying to sell you pointless stuff you don't need, as usual. Why on earth an anti-bacterial laundry basket? I've never heard of anything so stupid. There is plenty of evidence that people's obsession with anti-bacterial everything is resulting in immune system problems such as asthma. We didn't evolve to live in a bacteria-free world and just because there are some bacteria that really are harmful doesn't mean that this thing will make you any safer whatsoever. There's usually an outcry when a thread about touch-free soap dispensers comes up - why not this too?

Nice its a proper White colour and not cream, good price, im giving it a go, thanks.

And quaintly enough, I was just telling my wife about how bacteria obsessed society is nowadays... (until we've got ads about the bacteria at the top of our soap dispensers?)

Come to think of it though, I've got a friend who would quite likely love this laundry basket JUST for its anti-bacterial properties. That's one pressie sorted ;p
