Having previously lived and worked in Germany, I think that 'collective … Having previously lived and worked in Germany, I think that 'collective guilt' syndrome has pretty much disappeared in the last 20 years.The only reason German people might seem "hung up" on it now is that a lot of British people still feel compelled to bring it up within five minutes of a first conversation.
