Depends what you're goals are:

bodybuilding - not necessary but would help with squat form
powerlifting - yes
strongman - yes
Olympic weightlifting - definitely yes
Crossfit - yes

Also something to note, I'm not sure about these versions but previous adidas powerlift shoes had smaller sole heights than standard squat/weighlifting shoes. You may want to find shoes with bigger heels depending on what you get into and your body proportions.

Probably the gayest thing I've ever read on this site

You sound like a great person to have in someone's life! Happy Monday you complete tool!

I’ve squat in bare feet for as long as I care to remember. I didn’t even know they had shoes for such things

They'll invent anything to take cash off you
Tried a pair of the powerlift 2.0s, not really great as the heals go down with some weight on squats, would defo recommend the adi powers or reebok lifters as they both got solid heals however they are a bit more expensive than these.

Tell that to Olympic lifters since the 70's mate.
Proven to aid lifts.
I plumped for the Liestungs a couple of days ago.
Help with my squats due to my long legs and relatively small torso.

How you finding them please? Is the 1 inch heel "too much" (have heard of some lifters struggling with the gradient / toe to heel, almost falling forwards!) - I have the fastlift 325, amazing but just a .65 inch heel.....would appreciate your feedback mate.

How so? Too technical for you?

Also you say gay like it's a bad thing...
these are olympic lifting/proper lifting shoes chaps, not for arm curls in the squat rack like I would imagine most UKHOTDEAL users are doing
Lmao at these DYEL guys saying you don't need weightlifting shoes. Please post a video of your squat form. We're all dying to see it.

Some people require these as they have fallen arches. Going barefoot only irritates plantar fasciatus.

Also do the guys at the Olympics doing powerlifting not wear these? I think they would or at least their coaching team would know a thing or two.

They're still on route from Holland mate. Should be with me anyday. Will post back.
Sorry I can't be of help.
They have their uses but unless your competitive you can stick to Chuck Taylors or other flat shoes

I have the Leistung 16 rio editions. (the red ones) and i have the black and red adi powers. The 1inch heel is great. But more than anything they are so damn comfortable. In the adi powers my feet would hurt in longer sessions. The Leistungs have more support and cushioning.
Plus the boa system is great for slipping the shoes on and off really quickly.
adidas.co.uk/lei…tml leistung 2's on sale here for 65 quid as well
Just bought the LEISTUNG 16 II SHOES can't afford the retired Romaleos 2 and the updated Romaleo 3 have been given bad reviews. These Leistung's are a great price.
Thank you sir!

I went for 8.5 and i'm a stone wall 8. I find 8s in adipowers are tight on my foot and because of that take longer to break in.

Nice find! How do these compare to the adipowers?

just more comfortable and better fit. The 1inch heel height is great for mobility then. not for everyone but for me i love it

Saying these aren't really necessary for bodybuilders except with squat form isn't quite accurate. They're used in BB for more quad development, as you're leaning further forward.

Also on the last adidas sale the collegiate blue Powerlift 3.0's were £27!!! I ordered a few but haven't used them as I've still got my adidas power perfect II's

While I agree to some extent, converse or similar shoes or barefoot will do unless competing.

I take my shoes off just for squats and deadlifts... then put them back on for the rest of the workout
What's a better choice? Powerlift 3.1 at £41.43 or Powerlift 2 at £40 on Amazon? adidas Powerlift2, Unisex Adults' Multisport Indoor Shoes, White (White/Core Black/Bright Royal), 13 UK (48.5 EU) amazon.co.uk/dp/…33K
I use a pair of white Adipowers and I definitely wouldn't squat without them along with my 13mm strengthshop lever belt! Personally if you're "bodybuilding" this pair posted is more than sufficient...I see a lot of "bodybuilding" gym goers wearing them white-squishy-sole trainers and squatting and they're feet aren't flat and solid to the floor...I only take my footwear off for deadlifting...

guess what... you don't need running shoes either but they make billions on that idea per year alone
gunna hold out for few more years for adi powers
anyone with wide feet using any of the listed shoes? tempted, but most of the shoes these days are too narrow for me.
Stonking deal.. picked up a pair of nearly new from eBay for £20 a month ago.. great shoe for helping hit depth.
order cancelled, called them, nightmare talking to them"! out fo stock
