Well spotted and thanks for the links. I think I'll have some of the blue and a few pairs of shorts as well (linked at the bottoms of the jersey pages I saw).

Only med left?

Are these better than a simple cotton vest that exposes your body to the elements a little more?

I can't imagine they stop you sweating?

Yes, while cotton is a nicer casual wear fabric these polyester type fabrics are much better for exercise.
If you check the materials for sporting wear meant for actual sporting use you will see that they don't use cotton.

Order one of each and some shorts. Good price.

Thanks
,
I got lucky reserved all 3 tops in xl.

Just ordered 2 in large

thanks

I run a lot in all weathers. 21 miles on sand and shingle in the last 3 days in my 3x lunch hours. I don't wear a loose cotton vest while running for 'casual wear'? -I wear it because it cools and reduces sweat and allows air to circulate?

How is polyester 'better' for exercise exactly?

Good finding!I would order one for my husband!
Thanks OP!:)

thanks i've ordered to my local store, tried the shorts too but they are oos

I thought it was down to layering.

The theory been if you wear a vest etc under a football shirt/cycling jersey etc the sweat is wicked away from the body, as your skin is now dry the body produces more sweat so releasing more heat which is drawn away again.

It doesn't absorb water and swell like cotton does. It draws sweat away from your skin to the surface of the fabric to evaporate and cool......

Ordered two of the blue. Thanks

Reserved last two of XL in both colours at my local store for pickup, so thanks to OP, also thanks to Snoopy18 as I ordered one of the polo shirts too!

Also got the last XL matching jacket here

You posted for an arguement.... Not bothering answering your question but do you see the worlds best footballers wearing cotton tops?

Thats exactly what I was thinking!

And i'll answer his question- cotton is not that good in times of heavy sweating, maybe if you are running in gale-force winds on the beach around this time of year then yes the cotton will stay dry and the wind will dry the sweat from your body before the cotton can absorb it. But when you are training in normal conditions, or especially when it's warm, cotton is like a sponge, it absorbs all the sweat and clings to you. When you see huge sweat patches on guys in the gym thats normally coz they've got a cotton top on. I have nothing against cotton, but if i train in a cotton t-shirt in the summer i could literally squeeze a glass of sweat out of it after i'm finished, but with a well ventilated synthetic sports top like this adidas one it dries a lot quicker, and as a result is a lot more comfortable to exercise in. And thats worth £5.95 of anyone's money if they exercise regularly.
