Thought about getting one of these for ages having used numerous different types of laptop cooler and stands in the past.

Finally, got one and I have to say it's absolutely brilliant!

Allows you to use a laptop practically anywhere - on a desk, on the sofa, in bed without the bottom of the laptop frying your legs and without having to rest the weight of the laptop and any stand/cooler directly on your legs.

Even better are the adjustable legs which allow for a vast range of different angles, heights and configurations. I bought a seperate roll of velcro from Ebay for a couple of pounds to secure the laptop and you can even configure the stand in a way that allows you lie flat in bed and have the laptop directly above your face for the ultimate in laziness! X)

Using it at a raised height on a desk is also better for you as well as it keeps your back and neck straighter and stops you hunching your head/neck down like Quasimodo to look at the laptop screen (just connect an external keyboard).

The stand itself is made up of an aluminium based plate and plastic legs. It's surprisingly sturdy yet light. Suitable for laptops up to 15.6"

Easily the best laptop stand I've ever bought. Highly recommended.

(Delivery took 3 days from their EU warehouse).

I bought the roll of velcro separately. It's only necessary if you're planning to use the laptop in an extreme vertical position or if you're planning to pick up and move the whole thing (laptop and stand) around alot.

Different stand in the article below but gives you an idea as to what configurations are possible! X)

Nah, that's my 3 year old daughter. Eats something and starts pressing anything from computer keyboards, TV remotes etc. She even tried to stroke a fluffy dog she saw the 4K TV we bought recently and left a handprint on the screen X)

I quite like the look of this, could be good for a tablet too.
Thanks OP

Which velcro did you buy? Does the stand have anything slots specific to secure it or is more like a DIY job?

And the video in the article has a product with like two clamps to secure the bottom of the laptop, does this model come with that as well? I can see something in the pictures above, but it seems it's not securing the laptop at all? ie, if you put it upside down, it will just not stay in place?

It comes with 2 clips that attach to the bottom to stop thicker or curved bottom laptops from sliding off when the keyboard is in an extreme or vertical position. Velcro? Any sort will do. Mine is just looped on ie like a headband, to prevent the laptop from toppling if at an extreme angle.

If you imagine the size of a 15.6" laptop, but with adjustable legs coming out of it, that's the size of it. It's actually very light (and thus just as portable or non-portable as a 15.6" laptop). It's actually very easy to move - I close the laptop lid, pick up the whole thing with the laptop under my arm as you would normally carry it and your body fits between the legs perfectly. Two add on velcro straps hold everything in place. Very easy to move upstairs / downstairs, from room to room etc. Don't forget that you don't have to use the entire length of the legs. You can fold back 2/3 of them and use 1/3 length so its just like a V shape for the stand. That's just the same sort of size as a standard laptop stand.

I've actually owned numerous laptop stands - Belkin, Zalman, Coolermaster etc. This one is by far the most useful because of its versatility. Prior to buying it, I didn't use my 15.6" that much - it was left in the study due to its weight and heat. Now I find that I'm using much more due to this stand which basically takes away the heat/weight issue associated with it.

The main reason I posted this deal is really to give people a heads up on what I think is a terrifically versatile device!

Good find! I had a look at a few of Ebay ones prior to buying this. Some looked the same or very similar. Others were different. The only caveat I would have with the Ebay ones is that you don't know if its exactly the same one until you get it. A friend of mine bought one but it was missing the two clips, and the legs of the one he got were slightly shorter despite the picture saying they were XYZ dimensions! The Sellers also tend to be based in China.

Might be the same one, or it might be slightly different. It's up to you really.

But could this model hold a laptop upside down, like the original? Trying to find that one without having to import one to Japan but the ones I've seen do not have that feature...

Just buy some additional velcro strapping or roll to hold it in place. There are loads on Amazon or Ebay of different widths/lengths depending on the size of your laptop:

all received and also has the built in fan which I wasn't expecting!

Does anyone know or could anyone please check how high the legs sitting on the floor are? I'm looking to use this whilst seated on a sofa and therefore require the table to slide under the sofa?

Also, how high is the table when fully extended?

Wider version here (by about 9cm):

Obviously pricier but if you want something wider...
