Why give £150 to Apple when you can get the same thing for £25?

  • adjustable riser for optimal viewing height
  • Made from aluminium
  • Six height adjustable settings
  • Two-tier storage area
  • Opens via front and rear magnetic faceplates

Near identical one at Apple - link.

Apparently even cheaper on Amazon!!! link

£25?

Why not use a ream or two of A4 paper or, perhaps as a radical suggestion, buy a monitor that is mounted on an adjustable stand?

Wouldn't it be annoying having to remove/ add sheets every time you want to adjust monitor height?

After the initial height is set, unless you are changing your seat, or your desk, why would you wish to adjust your monitor height more than once?

One might have a grow spurt, change their seating habits, or maybe gain weight in their lower region?

£20 for a metal box to keep my keys in?
It’s actually £25 from Apple too. Shame about the £125 idiot tax they add.

Because, take the iMac as an example, you can't adjust it via height. Besides, it'd look pretty ugly having a ream or two.

Oh, yes, sorry, I forgot the mentality of an Apple product user. Every environment has to look like a showroom in Ikea.

Office workers have been using reams of paper as a monitor support for many years. Your focus is supposed to be on the contents of the screen, not what is supporting it.

Also, if you ever need a piece of paper, there's some just in front of you.

Oh yes, I forgot the mentality of people who simply can't respect what other people like and buy.

I mean, why would I want my desk looking like something out of a beige office, that's like buying a Ferrari then colouring the interior with moss green.

I mean, you're right, it is what is about the contents on the screen but it doesn't take much to have an environment that actually looks decent.

I didn't say that I was against you wasting £25.00 on this.

Go right ahead.
Useless... imac users won't waste their money on anything worth 25 quid and not genuine

Hey, I mean, I'll waste £25 but at least I won't look like something out of Hoarding: Buried Alive.

Besides, even for me this is too much. It's far simpler and cheaper to make one out of aluminium or free if you have a friend who works with this

So, we're agreed; not worth £25.00.

Thanks.

£20 for a metal box to keep my keys in?

Which isn't too bad, considering that key boxes can cost many times more, yet it's awkward to position monitors on them...

Why buy books when you can use some wood from a skip?

I got my books out of a skip whilst looking for wood.

Smart. I used wood for my monitor stand, my slightly soiled books are used for eating dinner off.
