This is not the Full Retail Version as shown in the photo on Morgans website! It is an OEM version that should only be bundled with hardware such as computers, digital cameras, scanners and printers etc!

This OEM version comes in a thin plastic case with no manuals.

Thanks, I've made an amendment to the opening post and title.
Why do deals like this never pop up when I need them?! About 2 weeks too late
Superb price for two great programs. If you own a camera - photoshop is a must.

Heat from me.
Nice deal. Premiere Elements is excellent and probably worth the price alone.
Thank you ordered
Are there expensive addons for this to make some file formats work at all? Or certain recommended filters?
Thanks.

i'd never buy from Morgan again.
Loads of people (including myself) reported credit card fraud after buying from these.

oO Sounds like some shady characters were working there (hopefully they've sorted out).
I've never ordered from them online but I have purchased a few things from their Tottenham Court Rd shop before (now closed).
Placed my order.

Hope they don't disappoint...

Still waiting after ordering on Monday evening with no update or notice of dispatch.

Q: When will my order be despatched ? A: Subject to stocks and cleared … Q: When will my order be despatched ? A: Subject to stocks and cleared funds, all orders will be dispatched within 24 hours, normally same day if ordered before 4pm, using either Citylink courier service or Royal Mail postal services. For larger items mainland UK delivery by courier costs £5.95 plus VAT) – this is a fully insured courier service offering 24 hour delivery in 95% of the UK. Smaller parcels are sent Royal Mail first class for £2.95plus VAT. depending upon size. NOTE: Telephone orders take longer to despatch.

Unless it's dispatched or arrives tomorrow morning I'll be cancelling. I'll also be asking for my card details to be removed from their system, if they are recorded in some way.
Gambled.... and it really does feel like it.

But I like to live on the edge
Nothing from them at all since placing my order 1 week go apart from the usual automated order acknowledgement minutes after placing my order. They still have this product showing as in stock on their website and I haven't received a reply after emailing them last Fri morning so where the h*ll is it since they say that all in stock orders will be shipped that day for next day delivery?

Complete waste of space are Morgan Computers, avoid !!!

Just got a response from them,

A supplier of ours let us down and some of your goods did notarrive with us when promised. We now have a firm commitment that we will be able to ship your order inthe next two working days in full. We are proud that we have some 98%can ship immediately but recognise that this is of little consolation toyou. Once again, I apologies and hope you will give us the opportunity in thefuture to give you the prompt service you deserve.

Keep us posted
Oddly enough I have not received mine either. I have only just emailed asking where it is as I hoping to edit some family pictures for Christmas!!!
I wont be very happy if it doesn't show, don't think i will be using them again. Don't take the orders if you don't have the goods in your hand. Poor customer services this one.
Mine was delivered at long last today but the version that I've received is,

For bundling with computers, digital cameras, scanners and inkjet … For bundling with computers, digital cameras, scanners and inkjet printers only. Not to be sold separately.

They've obviously tried to get around this by including the rubbish digital camera in the sale.
You might want to check with Adobe on the support side of things before opening/installing.

Quite cheeky of them to not mention it.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not happy at all with this and will be getting in touch with them tomorrow and asking to return it for a full refund. The jokers also state the following in their Conditions of Sale which is on the back of the delivery note/invoice.

2.Cancellation Of Orders And Goods Returned In Error. Any order … 2.Cancellation Of Orders And Goods Returned In Error. Any order cancellations or admendment must be made in writing by the Buyer. Goods that have been dispatched prior to notification of a cancellation or amendment will incur a restocking fee of 30%.

As is laid down by the Distance Selling Regs it is illegal to request a restocking fee of any kind.
What limitations might there be with an OEM version over the standard.

I don't care about not having a manual and not really bothered about support as never rallyrelied on it.

What does concern me are product updates and the ability to continue using the software when I upgrade my PC in the next 12mths or so.

Any knowledge or thoughts in this area?

I bought my software as a xmas present but it obviously looks just like something that I've received for free and am trying to pass it off as a nice xmas pressie that I've paid good money for.

I emailed Adobe last night and they have just replied and said the following,

Based on your description, it certainly does sound like this is an … Based on your description, it certainly does sound like this is an illegitimate sale since the Adobe software that we provide may only be bundled with cameras with a retail value over $150.00US, and may not be offered at a separate price.

I made them aware that I was located and had purchased in the UK so the $150 equates to approx £100. Even if the purchase value guidelines do differ a bit the toy camera only costs £5 to buy from Morgan computers. oO

As this is for me (not a gift) I can't see an OEM version causing an issue. (assuming it's a genuine OEM version and not a fake copy)

Having said that, if this is an OEM version from the US it may make a difference, since with earlier Premiere Elements versions (7) you needed the international version to support PAL. US versions only supported NTSC which is no use to us here.

Is there any reference to PAL on the DVD case? (not got mine yet)
Anyone taken the plunge and installed it yet?
No mention of PAL, NTSC or any particular region on the case but after searching their website it seems that the software is multi-region. The appropriate format is then set as a default to your chosen region on installation of the software. It's also possible to change the format in General Settings prior to starting a new project.

I wouldn't touch MORGAN COMPUTERS AGAIN poor company to deal with.I received the poor adobe photoshop OEM and wasn't happy with it. So called to send back the package just to have an arrogant manager (Richard) that wanted to charge me for returning the goods (20%) !He also managed to put the phone down on me because I didn't agree to pay from my own pocket to return a not as described item that was clearly different to the one they advertised.
I've contacted trading standards regarding the matter and got a reference to chase it up.
Any one else feeling misled?

Couldn't agree more. I'll also be returning my order and I also have no intention of paying the return costs. They aren't getting one penny out of me. I also have the guy from Adobe that I contacted about this issue waiting for me to give him details of the retailer that he has requested but I'll probably hang fire with this for the time being. I'll be sending them an email requesting the return/refund as an email is proof of the request and is admissible in the small claims court.
It appears that they were also selling OEM versions of Photoshop in April last year.

hotukdeals.com/dea…e=2

It looks like they'll also be known to trading standards.

Well, no problems with Premiere.

License key was okay
Updating via the 'updates' button worked fine (and downloaded an update)
Seems to be the full release, including PAL support (the OEM dvd is from the US)
Movies created fine.

Doesn't guarantee things will work in the future though. I think it'll be okay though.
I've had OEM Photoshop before (v5) which never caused a problem.
Have a full release of version 7.

No getting around the fact that Morgan should have referred this as an OEM edition though.
