    Had this a few years now for infrequent use. All the bits are rusty and I've oiled them a few times but it's all held up well and it's quality stuff

    A reminder you can have these swapped out for brand new ones without a receipt if any are badly corroded.

    I’m thinking of grabbing this, but can’t decide between the 100 or 175. I feel that the 100 is much better value without much overlap in socket sizes. I’m struggling to see how it would be worth twice the price. Maybe the 100 set, plus a set of ratchet spanners would be the way to go.

    One thing to consider is weight - if you're taking the tools to the job then all those extra bits are adding a lot of heft. Not an issue if you're not moving them though!

    No, they're not overkill because these will last you a lifetime (as long as you won't lose some pieces).
    Always invest in the best gear you can afford it.

    With regards to the 175 set, wouldn't it be cheaper to source the tool sets individually from a reputable brand? Seems a lot of the 175 is used as a filler?

    I bought the Black set a few years ago, mistake!
    The look nice but don’t hold up to any use
    They rust easily and the black wears off.

    Realistically does anyone use the long reach bits ? I feel like they are just fillers. Wondering if this is worth it or if I should just buy a 1/4 or 1/2 ratchet set

    Inlet/Exhaust manifold studs, some battery clamps, any nut wound onto a long thread where access is too tight for spanner, recessed bolts where extension bar is too wide. I also use long reach sockets as a mini extension in tight spaces to protect knuckles! Basically, you don’t need them until you need them! (edited)

    Picked up my 100pc set today, huge upgrade from the essentials one I’ve been using for the past 3 years haha ! Well worth it this should make life easier I do a lot of DIY on the car
