I agree... 14" TFT is not everyone's choice. But if you are after one, this is an excellent price. Managed to grab one from Catford PCWorld yesterday.

Says Advent on the title but no mention of it anywhere on the monitor. Limited stock & 1 year on-site warranty is included. Billy bargain for a silver/grey 14" TFT @ £49.97 + 3% cashback if you go via Quidco.

Hi Edi. Ideal for making a Digital Picture Frame I'd have thought. That's what they did on the Gadget Show anyway. No stores locally have got these in stock so you'd managed to get yourself a bargain.

Kind Regards.

How did the gadgetshow make it into a picture frame without a pc?

Hi, They'd hooked up a surplus to requirement 15" TFT Monitor from what I can remember to a spare base unit. The reason why they said that you could build your own Digital Picture Frame was because the one's reviewed were either very expensive or the picture quality was not comparable to that of a 15" TFT Monitor. Would've thought that Edi's finding for £49.97 would be ideal for this.

HTH.

is there any way to hook this upto a cheap digibox make a nice wee kitchen tv

Looks like another bogus item that gets people to look at their website. There are none available in any of the Scottish stores. sigh.

Not really a 'bogus' item thekanester :santa: At least I have quoted one store where I found stock & bought one. At this price, stocks are well limited though

Considering DSG's past history and 20+ cancelled Dixons orders I have, I woulnd't be surprised if DSG is spreading this practice to PC World.

DSG and Argos both need a a good seeing to for their advertising things they never have in stock.

Just sour-grapes on my part! It's funny that schizoboy should mention Argos though, as whenever they have rare offers on, both stores in Dundee are always packed full of them and I never have any problems with stock availability. I guess it just depends where you are in the county, I suppose.
