5 months old & not available

Could just be myself with bad experience, but be wary of Dixons refurbished, seems to be a lottery as to what you get, I bought a refurb Aspire One from them, was clearly well used and had a crack above the VGA socket....they were fine in refunding however, but as I say with poor quality control "refurbished like new" certainly wasn't!

They still have to give a 12 month warranty, can't see that stated anywhere WhizzKid.

Shame its an Advent also.

We have bought 3 refurbs from currys/dixons/pc world.

All have had different problems like power, to mouse to corrupt vista installs.

Im avoiding at all costs now even if it is cheap.

I would have bought this if it had HDMI.

I have been waiting for a deal like this and am seriously peed off about the lack of HDMI.

Ditto. Never ever buy refurbs from DSG they have no quality control.

This is what happens. Customer buys computer/laptop, takes it home, it has an annoying intermittent fault, maybe windows keeps corrupting, or the screen flickers, or it just bsods every now and then. Customer complains, and after three hours of troubleshooting the customer service droid accepts that a problem exists and they arrange for pickup. It goes to central repair centre. Engineer/droid gets laptop with a short summary of problem 'wont turn on' 'keeps crashing', engineer does restore back to factory settings, turns on for five minutes, seems ok, sent to refurb store.

Buy at your peril

There are better deals around imho:

For £30 more you could have an 'entertainment' level laptop rather than a 'basic' one which means the processor is slightly better and it has a dedicated graphics card rather than on board (shared) graphics.

Lots of deals ]here - the deal I mentioned above is the first one, a Packard Bell EasyNote TN65-T440 with a Core 2 Duo T6400, 250GB HD, HD 3430 Graphics and 15" screen but only 3GB ram and no Blu-Ray.

Bought a desktop over 2 year ago had initial problems with Bios but was able to fix. You pay for what you get. Cant expect reduced priced products in 100% condition
