Cool story bro, when's the movie out?

Some of the comments on here are ridiculous that add nothing what so ever...... anyway hot deal, good spec for the price.

A recent Microsoft Research study showed that branded PC's like this were actually more reliable than 'white box' PC's....

I still build my own computers, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with a PC like this.

This bloke is a notorious idiot on here

Good deal op.

Sorry guys don't mean to be a troll but I have had 2 refurbs from this groups and both were faulty. Just a word of caution, refurbs are usually sent back because there is a fault (natch) but if the techs dont find a fault quickly then they dont fix what might be an underlying problem. And good luck with the aftersales. Had the last laptop booked in for a pickup from store. Phoned several times and the laptop just lay on a bench still instore for a month.

If you buy refurbs from eBay you can file a complaint and the buyer has a huge advantage over the seller. My last refurb had a problem, tesco wouldn't reply and just filed a complaint with eBay - everything got sorted out!

great deal! I bought a pc world refurb near 18 months ago and its been flawless. I have upgraded the mobo since then but its been grand!

Good price but only 6 months warranty isn't very appealing.

I recently had a refurb iMac that was not quite as described, missing software and arrived with a damaged box. I ended up being offered compensation to the tune of almost 15% of the price I paid, I did have the option to return it but didn't.

Yeh good points, I was pricing new.

Thanks op, this was very useful.

There's a close up look from a very excitable young fellow here.

This is a good deal IMO considering:

-It comes with Win7 64bit which costs around £70 for a license I think.
-Appears to have a dedicated graphics card meaning some light gaming will be possible which is quite rare in cheap systems. Although 6672 doesn't exist afaik so assuming they mean 6670.
-Generally good spec for the money (Sandybridge, 8GB, 1.5TB)
-6 month warranty is improved from the 3 months when I bought a refurb laptop from there about 18 months ago.

edit: I should point out I've been building my own systems since the 90s yet still see the value in deals such as this especially for those that don't want the hassle - ignore the trolls.

Thanks OP, been holding out on buying a much needed replacement PC for a few weeks now. Just ordered. Thanks.

What about the motherboard?
What about the DVD rewriter?
What about the network card?

Just to add to that, what about the people who couldn't give a flying f**k about building their own PC

Motherboard info would be great.

looking for a m-atx build. Just in a diff case.

This definitely has an optical drive doesn't it?

where does this deal state it's got a DVD drive?

and what do you mean by network card? there's no separate card. just ethernet port on MB.

take it easy and read the specs again.
Edited by: "kunyk" 9th Jul 2012

Does anyone know if this has a DVD drive and a network adaptor?

Thanks, been on the lookout for a new PC while, this seems to benchmark around the same as the i5-2500k that everyone raves about.

Ordered the last one. Cheers OP.

Thanks OP, heat given and another £300 quid leaves my bank!

Thanks OP, I must have got the second last as SteJosh commented about 4 mins after I ordered. Should arrive Saturday. Looking forward to it as I have been watching these refurb advents for some time now. Thanks again!

I had gone through to paypal payment stage and hit pay but you must have nipped in lol.

Thanks, I now have a shiny new computer.

Thanks, I now have a shiny new computer.

Hopefully it will be shiny and new, lol. The listing for grade b, made me take my time and miss out lol. What I will say is I got a Imedia from dixons refurb and cosmetically its looks like new, so I hope you get similar.

What are the dimensions of this pc ?

Excellent price for a pre built. I got an i3 from PC World refurb and it had just one very small scratch on the casing so I hope you get one in a similar kind of condition to mine.

I bough the DT2111 refurb earlier this year and it's great, pretty much the same spec as this. Nothing bad to say about Advent PCs really quiet and reliable and for what I need the i5 and graphics card are blistering, mine was brand new sealed with cellophane protection still attached.
Whoever got one of these won't be disappointed.

This went really quick. 30+ bought in under 1 1/2 hour.

Lol, I was dithering, and then suddenly there were only 4 left, so I nabbed it. As for the condition, it doesn't really bother me, so long as it works fine.
