Good price for a reasonable spec laptop and it's new.

I've got one of these, and it's not bad for the money (think I paid £179 for mine in a 20% off pricing error about a year ago). I'm very happy with mine.

Note, it's only got one DIMM slot as far as I'm aware, and no access to it without removing the case! So I wouldn't get one if you need more than 2GB. Also, as you'd expect, the battery isn't great

Advent + crap old processor = disaster waiting to happen.

Run a mile.

Cold from me.

Me thinks you don't have a clue what you're talking about. It's not latest generation - but so what? It's cheap, it's new, and if you're not playing games, video-editing or needing ultra-mobile it's perfectly fine.

It might not be bargain of the century, an 8gb, i5 laptop with ssd for twenty quid, but it's fair value.

Advent are notoriously crap and unreliable.

The old T series Celerons are quite slow compared to their Pentium D equivalents. I'm not talking latest gen i5's.

8GB ram is pointless for 95% of users, but 4GB with Windows 7 64Bit is worth the extra.

I personally wouldn't buy a laptop with an SSD fitted, the price premium the manufacturers charge isn't worth it and would fit my own.

If budget is tight, I'd be looking at a manufacturer refurb with something like a B950. Ok it's going to be more than £200, but the bang for buck price difference is worth the extra £60-70.
