We've got the previous version of this and while a bit costly, its still going, where the £100 extractor we fitted to our previous house failed in few weeks.
These also need need more powerful motors to make up for the non-optimal shape, you have an opening mechanism (for a more traditional layout) and of course the cosmetics. It all adds up i guess.

Im not saying they are bargains, but id have no reservation buying another.
