Are Lavazza coffee pods real coffee or some instant sh.t?

For anyone who might be concerned about it, as far as I can tell, this model is not sold/supported by Electrolux/AEG/Lavazza UK. I can find no reviews of it, or any comments about it's reliability or performance.

Looks good and 15 bar pressure so should be better than my Senseo! Hot from me.

15 bar pressure? It does not steam milk...

Not for me. If I was going to buy a coffee machine, I would want a milk steamer..

A milk steamer is a great idea but that isn't the point of these pod/bag/capsule type of coffee machines. Pop a pod in, press a button and there's your coffee, no mess!

Most machines of this ilk are less than 5 bar water pressure so 15 bar is excellent to me.

agreed. if he wants a milk steamer then don't get a pod machine, they are made for convenience and speed. I think he was getting this mixed up with an espresso machine.

Ordered, thanks

Surely not available with this deal?

looks like an exlcusive to Tesco deal, thats maybe why there are no reviews on it. The space all the official Lavazza marketing in my local store, so looks like a genuine AEG/Lavazza machine

Manual start/stop button! Not like the 'programmed' Tassimo system.

Great find! Ordered with the £10 off £50 new customer code (posted here) by adding 3 boxes of the pods

Got the machine and 48 pods for £40...seems like a good deal to me! Thanks OP!

Are the milk for others part of the product box? Or is it a separate item in store which goes through free if you spend £50?

Great news guys - I just collected mine in store (click and collect) and there is a sticker on the box and a leaflet/form inside - all purchases of an AEG Esperia machine get a free milk frother (the one photographed above) - usual price £50, or so they claim .

You need to send the completed form, the bar code on the coffee machine's box (it's a sticker) and a receipt showing the item and date of purchase. After some investigation, the VAT receipt can be found only at "My orders" at Tesco.com and they email it to you.

It's a freebie for machines bought between 10/4 and 31/12 2014.

Best add that to your OP, OP

Fab deal, even better now.

Sorry the sticker barcode probably isn't the one they are after - the example looks more like the one printed on the main box. Mine was overstickered with delivery barcodes.

Just picked one up in Beckton, two left, says milk frother free

Tried it out, went straight back an bought another for work.
I got a £5 off voucher if you spend over £40, but going complain and say why didn't I get one 2hrs earlier.

Oh taste wise is you like Lavazza or Illy get this and you'll love it.

For the money this can't be beaten. Now look forward to a decent coffee before work.
Even the wife likes it!
Just have to claim my free milk frother.

Just picked one up in Tesco Longton Stoke on Trent and it is a brilliant piece of kit for the money, very compact, easy to use, hot coffee, clean process & tasty results, it even comes with 12 sample pods to taste the range (red and beige are the nicest so far), I have to be honest though I have never tried any other model or brand so I can not say how it compares to others of this ilk, I just need to sort out how to claim my free milk frother now as my box has a big sticker over the bar code and looks nothing like the example shown on the leaflet, I think Tesco customer services may be having a call on this one.

If any one spots a better deal on the pods please can they post a new thread if admin allows as I have tried all the obvious places on line and Tesco came up up the cheapest at roughly 0.22p per pod when you buy the 3 packs of 16 for a tenner deal in store

edit....nearly forgot comes, it also comes with a 2 year guarantee if you register it with AEG

Buy 2 get 3rd free at John Lewis right now too.

The sticker on the box comes off fairly easily with patience and you'll see the one printed on the actual box resembles the example in the leaflet almost exactly.

Agree with you too - it's a great bit of kit and the pods are way cheaper than some.

Have reserved for store collection using the voucher and adding the pods, will I still be able to claim the free milk frother?

I can't think why not, the leaflet for the frother is inside the boxes - they just want to see the bar code and receipt, no mention of how you bought it.

Got one today and I am blown away by how good the coffee tastes, absolute bargain!!!

To be honest I much prefer that - I get my full cupful, not someone else's idea of how big a small/med/large cup is.

This deal just gets better and better!!!

I got the machine and 3 packs of pods for £40, plus (as mentioned previously) it comes with a box of 12 pods too!. With the leaflet for the free frother in the box this makes this a cracking deal!!

Thanks again OP!!

The milk frother is free when you buy the machine. NOT when you spend £50 in Tesco

So many coffee machines on offer, Tassimos £45 in Currys too, which is the best deal?

How big are these? Some of the other coffee machines look huge!!

I have no idea on the others but I really do rate this - a top quality paring in AEG and Lavazza - I love the coffees and that's what it's about I guess.

It's not too wide (4-5"?) but quite deep/long. possibly 12-14". Ideal for an against the wall on one side location in a kitchen.

great deal, thanks for posting!

ordered adding 3 packs of pods and new customer code making it £40 with 2% tracked quidco, hope the free frother applies as I do like the odd milky drink but still a decent purchase if not.

Ordered online and collected at Yate store. £40 with 3 packs of pods and just filled in form for free milk frother! Had the Favola Plus before but this is better all round package at a great price!
