Came across this washing machine and it seems to be a good deal as you get 5 years warranty after registration.

I don't know how it compares to a Samsung or LG in the same price range or whether it has a sealed drum or not but its from JL so they offer great customer service.

Edit: I think you can get it for the same price at Currys so maybe cheaper if you can apply a voucher?

Just to clarify the warranty is with AEG and not John Lewis.

At the risk of tempting fate..!!
We've had a similar model for over 10 years and the only part it's had was a heater element
Fitted myself for £20.
I would rather buy it from John Lewis.....Customer Service is much better than Currys/PcWorld lot.

Are there many reviews on this Machine ?

I think it needs to be mentioned that people who have had older models from the same manufacturer as an example of reliability need to be aware that many of these brands are not owned by large MNC who produce various other brands as well from the same factories and perhaps to a different requirement in terms of reliability. AEG is owned by Electrolux who also own Zanussi.

Electrolux and Zanussi are still on the better side of reliable. Much better than the hot point family.
How does this compare to the LG LG FH4U2VCN2 that was recently on offer. Looking at the specs the LG does seem to be a higher spec machine but it's not on offer at the moment, it's been on offer a few times by Currys at around £369.

Just waiting for the LG FH4U2VCN2 to be on offer again then may buy it , but not at its current price.
In terms of AEG or LG its down to user reviews and reliabiltiy not to mention repairs / spares parts etc.
Nowadays the parts are so expensive on most machines , the consumer is almost forced to buy a new machine.
Hence they say we live in a throw away society, if parts and repair costs were lower there would not be so much waste and it would be greener environment
Hot from me. Had two AEGs in twenty-five years.

Mind you, now I think about it, that's flippin' poor reliability...
5 year warranty with John Lewis is worth its weight in washing! My Bosch went mental after 3 years and they changed most of the insides. Highly recommend there service. The Bosch was more than this so price doesn't always guarantee happiness, but a long warranty does.
