Given the poor performance of our existing Hotpoint dryer and now safety concerns too!, had a look around and saw this deal - decent spec machine and cost and reviews too - however this weekend only there is £100 cashback promotion (double CB) and also Currys have 12%CB with Quidco - paid on my cashback Amex too (1%) so net cost of £345 (although quidco currently tracking at much higher.

AEG certainly seem a good make. We've had our AEG washing machine for about 16 years and, other than a set of motor brushes, it's been maintenance free. I'm thinking of changing out tumble drier. I'm a bit confused what the 'Heat pump' bit means. Is this a vented tumble drier or a condenser? Thanks
its a condenser, but super efficient (A+ rated)

OK, thanks. I was really looking for a vented machine.
Think you can vent it if you want to, have you checked the specs?

That AEG is not necessarily the same as the current AEG.

Nowdays, AEG is a brand of Electrolux. I think that their good models are still made in Germany, but their entry level ones are just rebadged Zanussis. I'm not saying it's bad, but past experiences (especially so far back) don't always correlate with the present.
'Safety concerns'... I'm sure there's some 'moderate' tumble dryers out there
got to be better that my current hotpoint dryer, a really shoddy piece of kit - ive had zanussi and electrolux kit in the past without issue, no probs with the current AEG branded electrolux stuff, not for the money. even Miele are not what they used to be!
Why is this so cold? It looks like an ace price, assuming all the cashback, (which I realise isn't always guaranteed, but is likely when direct from AEG) for a heat pump tumble dryer
Dont know why either, great price, nothing even close to this spec for the money.
Great deal assuming you can wait on delivery (listed as 2 to 4 weeks on the Curry's site).
there is that!

thanks, wasn't aware of that one.
Thanks OP - I was looking at this at John Lewis at £469 - £100 cashback so this is a great deal. I've purchased, and already submitted the AEG promotion claim (very easy!).

They ARE efficient but take at least double the time to dry compared to vented. Well at least in my experience.
thanks, so went for the similar one from kensingtonappliances, where they offer 5y warranty on the h2 model as well!
£360 for heat pump dryer with 5y warranty, can't complain

would have ordered this
anyone know of any good / current deals?
thank you.
update - although it said 2-4 wk lead in - mine is being delivered on Monday
Mine is being delivered Thursday.

I've bought the AEG stacking kit from Amazon too, from a few reviews/comments it looks like it will fit most washers underneath.
