I have one of these (not this brand but in general). My teeth are still alive I think we actually put them upwards in dishwasher so it doesn't take that much time to clean. Also when you clean it yourself... And as plastic straws are going to be forbidden anyway you should finally change to one of these.

They certainly don't want to ban cotton buds, just the plastic stick the cotton is mounted on.
