Flights to USA from LHR or BRS inc. bags / maybe other airports during Summer / School Break @ AerLingus
Found 23rd MarFound 23rd Mar
Found some pretty good prices on Air Lingus during July

You can fly from most UK airports which have a connecting flight to Dublin via Aer Lingus. One big advantage of travelling via Dublin is that you clear US immigration in Dublin so arrive effectively as a domestic flight - therefore no long immigration queue at the other end. You can also do 'multi-city' - fly out from London to Boston and return from New York to Manchester. Very competitive prices.

Norwegian Air pretty good too

I did see them when booking, but as I had never heard off them before I thought I would play it safe for £10 more and book with disney themselves. But now I know someone has booked and not had any problems I will keep them in mind for next time

Should also add that you can stay in Disney's Hotel Cheyenne for the same price

Cheaper here: £355.56 for hotel and park tickets. Can even just pay just a deposit for now. I used them last year with no problems at all.

Yes my child is under 7 and they stay for free maybe that is why your price is more. When I go on and check it's still the same price as I got.

If your children are over 7 the price will go up that's the price for children under 7

I got 2 adults & 2 kids from Glasgow to JFK in July for £2770. It was going to be nearly another grand to fly BA or United (although United was direct). The airline does appear to be the "Ryanair" of this route in that there are quite a lot of complaints about seat sizes and the quality of the food & service. You need to buy any drinks outwith those served with your meal and alcohol is also an extra. Still, 1K will buy an awful lot of onboard snacks & drinks.

October was when I fancied going but seem to only be able to find that low price fare coming back in October :( May I ask what dates you managed to get? that's great news re the hotel for your honeymoon, you will have a great time :)

October holidays x It's Aberdeen to Dublin then Dublin to JFK, but what a bargain! We are thinking of NYC for our honeymoon so this means we could afford a really nice hotel! :)

can I ask what dates you managed to get the flights? Always so expensive from north of Scotland and would be great to go! :)

I found flights from Aberdeen to JFK at £192.54 each way :) Thank you! :)

Theyre on a customer relations drive. They havent been too bad for the past year and I fly with them once a month. Just priced up dates to Dublin with both and I can get a return for £19.98 all in with Ryanair from Manchester.

Personally I never fly with ryanair, having experienced some pretty poor service from them on the last few flights. If you don't mind then definitely go for them.

Still cheaper on some of those routes with Ryanair.

I was under the impression that the 'charges' part of the taxes and charges included charges levied by the carrier themselves as well as the airports charges.

off to dublin tomorrow for £19.98 return on Ryanair-day out from Manc!

If the devil smiled and was polite, would you trust him (or her)?

Unfortunately those days are long gone though. Ive flown to Dublin for £1 few years ago but with APD alone means theres very few routes that are under £15 now.

I remember buying 4 flights to Dublin for 4 pence including taxes. Never used the tickets though.

Cheap flights to Dublin maybe but what about luggage charges x 4 twice

During Scottish Oct week, Fri 10-Fri 17 Oct Glasgow- Toronto is £542 each (via Dublin). Dublin- Toronto is £308. Haven't checked the exact times but flights from gla-dub on Thu 8 are £80/90.

Had a look for July as we were planning to visit Toronto this year , now having to leave until next year but I thought prices from Aer Lingus might be cheaper than Canadian Affair so decided to have a look. Unfortunately quite a bit more expensive in July but I will certainly check again nearer the time :)

The price difference is mostly due to taxes. Last time I was pricing tickets to Canada or USA, it was actually cheaper to fly say Dublin-Heathrow-Montreal than to fly only Heathrow-Montreal with the same company because you then pay Irish deoarture taxes rather than UK.

I would recommend AA to Hawaii. Book via their own website rather than search engines. And if you are going to the capital, cheap flight from Milan is the best option.. there is some European low cost airline that flies from there.

Prices are each way and tax doesnt look like its included Was aowkring out at nearly £600 each which isnt a deal

£100 cheaper eDreams flying outward with Ryanair and back with AerLingus

Can't see where the deal is here. I flew from Bourenmouth to Dublin return a few weeks ago with Aer Lingus leaving Easter Sunday, returning on April 4th. For 2 Adults and an infant it was £221 return. Every flight I've looked at for the same route in May/Jun/Jul is almost £100 more expensive. The admin charge for the flight at Easter was £24, the cheapest it's coming up at now is £42. Disappointed, I was hoping to get a cheap flight here, but looks like it's increased charges masked by a promotional "offer". Cold from me I'm afraid.

So, free flights cost over £100 return or book with ryanair for £50. I think my definition of free may be different to AerLingus

Cheeky £70 admin fee added on bumps it up to nearly 25% more than end flight total

Does anyone know when the best time to book is? I mean like how many mon ths before? I want to go in November to New York but flights are £500 rtrn will they get more expensive? I use skyscanner and netflights etc to check! Thanks Any help, hints and tips appreciated. :-)

Agreed. On a student visa I get checked every time I come through an airport in the UK.

Sorry to go off subject here and talk about the deal but I see this a cold deal. My gf and I are looking to go away to the USA in March and prices are less than £400 return. Only way this deal could get some heat is if you only need one way which the majority of punters won't. I've seen less than £350 return with Delta on certain dates. Flying on a weekend with virgin and BA is around £380 return - these are all non-stop from LON, non-direct flights are advertised from around £325 but I haven't been looking at them. Most of these deals have been found using Skyscanner and netflights btw.

I have to say that when I went we returned home the day before Thanksgiving the busiest week for travel all year and the whole week that we were in America the news were reporting on "Airport security madness" Americans were crying on TV because they felt they were treated as criminals, images were shown of women and small children being searched. In each US Airport we went through however as British people we were not searched, nothing, while Americans were!! Infact during our whole visit we were treated brilliantly by every American we spoke to they loved our accents (it the same week Prince William and Kate got engaged and they were going crazy over it..they LOVE Kate!! lol) All anyone wanted to know was how far is Manchester from London and what did we think of Kate and William!! Americans realy do seem to adore the british people and all English we spoke to had the same probs at airport at all!! So what if they take fingerprints who cares.. I love America and will keep going!!!

Why? It's all about civil liberties and the UK citizens being treated as criminals. Do US passports contain finger print records? Why don't the UK finger print Amercians?

Rip off. Looked at a flight from Birmingham to Dublin for me and two nippers. Should have been £24.99 each way. Total flight cost with no bags checked in over £240. Not cheap. Thanks for heads up OP but typical airline robbery...

Go to Cork, Dublin is the most overhyped city i've ever been to. I don't think it's good "craic" to pay 6 Euros a pint almost everywhere in Dublin.

Probably a ploy to get more customers. Very cunning Aer Lingus. ;)

So put on the extras, and that's not including baggage, and it's not 19.99. It's actually 25 one way.

Tried to book tenerife 4 people £865 oincluding £30 charges per person. Really dont get how they say £9.9 or is that from?

thanks for this info guys. much appreciated :) +r to both

Not guaranteed to work though. Works with Ryanair, but (for example) BMIBaby treat entropay as a Visa Credit Card and charge you the full fee. I don't know about Aer Lingus but you should be aware that entropay is NOT a Visa Electron card, even though Ryanair treat it as if it is.
