looks the business

We have one, it's fine. Does the job but wouldn't pay much more than that for it.

These are very uncomfortable compared to standard exercise bikes.
Fattys don't bother as there's no where to put your belly when you lean forward.

Yep that was me.....

you get what you pay for in terms of fitness equipment

spend peanuts and you get cheap crap.

in terms of cardio:

£1000 - gets you a concept 2 rower
£2000 - gets you a half decent treadmill, £5000+ gets you a commercial grade treadmill
£500 - gets you a decent spin bike

or you could just buy a jump rope for <£5 off ebay and a pair of running shoes and jog outside for free

basically either join a gym, buy decent equipment or do your CV outside, no point wasting money on cheap tat when there are other better options available

What utter crap! I bought this 6 weeks ago at this price, combined interval training with core exercises and the use of a cheap cross trainer, I haven't looked back. I've lost a substantial amount of weight and my fitness has improved no end.

The equipment is there when I need it, after kids have gone to bed or I get late back from work. I didn't want to spend a fortune on equipment as didn't know if I'd have the motivation to do it and end up wasting my money

The rrp is a joke, but this bike is fit for purpose and really does give you a good work out. I don't expect it to last forever, it's not silent but hey it does the job

Great price op, and I highly recommend this bike. Just as a side note maybe delivered as a s100, but they're the same

Agree with above! Bought one 6 weeks back and for the price you can't beat it. You can of course pay over 30 quid a month to watch the roid boys flexing their muscle in the gym!

Bought one a few months a go. Hurts the bottom.

Get some cycling shorts! Simples

The previous thread from around six weeks ago, should answer queries;

Bought one its not perfect, but its excellent for the money and would recommend it to anyone wanting a cheap spin bike

I don't think you're meant to insert it there oO

This looks terrible it looks like it can only take 3 coats on it at the most.

Looks good but can't see it performing as good!

Fine if you want a spin bike and doesn't seem that different to the bikes at the gym. That said I bought mine months ago following a deal on here and I have used it once. That said I might feel more incentivised when the dark nights roll in!

LOL - I glanced over at mine after reading your post and yep(!) - it's got 3 coats on it (_;)

Is it not worth buying a push bike, especially if you've not got kids etc. cycling indoors in one place is boring. Finding the motivation to merely use it for 5 minutes is a tough ask. I'm doing the Insanity workout at the moment and am looking for a road bike to compliment the work i'm doing indoors.

How does it compare to using a turbo trainer? I like the idea of this as it won't wear my bike out when winter training.

put the seat on!

I was going to buy a new wardrobe but might get this. Look at all the places for coat hangers after you use it twice LOL

Concept Rower should stay in the gym, you should never need one at home unless you have too much money or are training to be a decent rower, there's just no need to pay out for that machine, whilst it's decent it's overkill for home use.

If you want to build muscle and get ripped so you have a cover model look then you need a time and need a pro gym really. If you just want to lose weight, get fit and maybe get a bit ripped too depending on your age then you can exercise at home. Bear Grylls has a pretty decent book that's cheap on Amazon and I've seen it in Tesco for about £8 and that will get you a lean fit body if you follow it's guide, which in reality is about as healthy a body as you can get. It depends on your goals. I've done the gym for 3 years, now I've changed goal at 43 and am looking to just keep fit and lean. I definitely could get a cover model look to my body, can't do that with the face though I didn't enjoy the gym, I didn't enjoy the time I put it, now I eat really well and exercise using a Rolson mat from Halfords which is perfect for floor exercises, I have a pull up bar and I'll get some kettlebells/dumbells at some point and that's it. I will have spent about £200 on gear and that's overkill really, you can do it all for free depending on your goals

Look at sworkit app which is free sworkit.com/

Bought one the last time round for similar money, wasn't expecting much but it's superb! Great bit of kit for the money! We were going to rent one for £9 a week, minimum term 3 months, to own one for the same price is a no brainer. HOT!

How are these for storage? Do they fold down at all?

I am 6 foot 4, would this be any good? As I want make sure when I pedel my leg are extended correctly at the bottom of the cycling loop

At 6 foot 2 i would also like to know if this bike is suitable for taller people.

Bought this last time it was on sale here (about £150). Decent bike for the money. I've used it more than I expected! Great for plonking infront of the TV and watching a tv show. (preferably action heavy as it gets you pumped up!)

There are spin exercise videos you can watch and follow along on youtube. Bargain.

Just looked at this on ebay and it is priced at 199.99 not 119.99.

It was, it's back again now

Bought it, seems great to me. Anyone know if you can, or if you will need to, buy spares? I would imagine the 'brakes' for lack of a better word will run out over time and the peddles could break

I am looking at this also, It gets some glowing 'reviews' on Amazon. But, also a few not so good ones. But, for the most part, it sounds like the customer service was good, and they resolved most issues quickly and satisfactorily.

I need a quiet one, and most people either rave about its quietness, or complain about the noise

I guess the alternatives are much more expensive.

So, when you say it is not silent, is it unusually noisy, or just normal for a bike?

I'm 5'11, at the highest setting my feet can't reach the peddle, you'll be fine :-)

For what it's worth I don't do biking or exercise bikes but I'd say the noise is normal, and in fact I suspect it would be louder with something that you would buy in Tescos
