This is a great Christmas gift!

Stuff Magazine voted this as one of the top tip best gadgets for around £100.

You have to use the HSBC 15% Code and 10% Quidco to get the best price.

Here's the blurb....

Say goodbye to pathetically small bunches of limp herbs bought for a small fortune from your local supermarket, and say hello to the simplest and most advanced indoor herb and plant grower on the market. It doesn't matter a jot if you're rubbish at growing stuff, this remarkable AeroGrow Kitchen Garden contraption will do everything for you. All you do is pop the growing pods into the machine and plug it in, it tells you when and how much water to add, when to add nutrients (all included), and the internal micro-processor controls everything - even how much light the plants need. Your plants will grow at three times the speed they would in a traditional earth pot, and supply you with the freshest herbs possible. The machine comes with a seven pot herb kit that includes Cilantro, Chives, Italian Basil, Purple Basil, Dill, Mint, and Parsley. You can also buy extra kits and be growing Chillies, Baby Tomatoes and more Gourmet Herbs with consummate ease in no time at all. Have your very own kitchen garden actually in your kitchen, and all with zero maintenance and sub-zero talent.

microprocessor? What a complete rip-off.

A standard propagator is about £20.

FAR too much money.

You can buy growing herbs from Tesco for £1

£15 to buy the kit to grow chillis.....seems like a rip off to me!

I grow most of my plants hydroponically and I do think they grow quicker. However its easy enough to get a bit of perlite, a margarine tub and some liquid feed and diy! This kit does seem to have a light though (I cant load the link) and they are quite expensive.

Don't know why the link didn't work.

I've voted it hot!

Firstly, its not just a propagator, it has a grow light in it and these are rather expensive. I'm actually considering getting one. I grow hydroponically and i'll adapt it to fit my needs.

Yes you can get seeds cheaply and thats what i'll do. No need to buy the seeds from specialist dealers.

Good find Jake!

Why do I get the impression this has very little to do with herbs, tomatoes and chillis?

Cos it's over a hundred quid for a half pound of tomatoes, a quids worth of chilis and a bunch of herbs? :whistling:

mumbojumbo

Sorry Jake, but that must be the most expensive bunch of herbs ever! … Sorry Jake, but that must be the most expensive bunch of herbs ever! :w00t:

I reckon I've bought more expensive herbs than that in my time !;-)

Awww stop taking the mickey outta me.. :-D
I have this thing about gadgets, my house must use more power than an ordinary street. Still I could always use it to grow a bit of Mary Jane and recoup my costs there lol! ;-)
