oooo, thats why normal headphones dont work. lol.

great wont have to use my ****** zoom headphones lol

Trick for using normal headphones/earphones on a plane.

Put it half in and you should be able to hear from both sides.

Only downside is that your going to have to put the volume up really high to hear the sound.

Hmm may consider buying one of these!

Cheaper on ebay,

last time i flew they had these for sale on the plane. Am I missing something?

Maybe I got lucky but we flew wth Virgin last year and my headphones worked fine without an adaptor!

Yeh, I'm sure when I flew with Virgin I didn't need the adaptor either,

But I've flew with Thomas Cook and Easyjet a few times in the last couple of years - and when I plugged my headphones into them sound only went through one headphone.
..However far in the plug is,

So, hope this is useful to someone

you can buy the aeroplane headphones onboard flight for £1.50......and just keep them for next time you fly, its a no brainer..cold

Dunno what airlines people go with, but when I wen't with XL they were free (headphones)... maybe that's why they went bankrupt :P lol

Cheaper at Maplins if you have a store nearby: maplin.co.uk/Mod…654

Obviously, if not, the above deal is better value as free delivery.

Well those headphones are most likely absolute junk and uncomfortable to wear.
I'd much rather get the adapter and use my own which have the added bonus acting like earplugs too.

that make a change for maplins, usually theyre a right rip off

I have about 3 of those now. I'm pretty sure that on every flight I was on I got the adapter with headphones (I kept buying them because I always forgot to bring my own).

Anyway, as to for one poster above, which EasyJet flight has the sockets and movies? :-D

I'm a big fan of these adaptors and have been using them for years, as I often fly long haul and the aeroplane headphones are ****. Just not that some Cathay Pacific planes use the fat single headphone jack so I always carry both just to be sure

Nice, the other half destroyed the last set we had by attempting to walk down the aisle with noise reducing headphones still plugged in (forgot they were on apparently), and thus 2 hours into a flight to the maldives had to buy a **** pair of headphones. Voted hot and rep added.

Tell me about it, I used to work there! I regularly used to tell customers to buy their goods elsewhere due to the often exorbitant prices, could've been a reason why I didn't get along with the manager...:whistling:

You dont have to pay for the headphones on airlines, there free you just need to give it back :P, Great Post Though

these were £1.50 instore in asda a couple of months ago

This kind of adaptor came with several different pairs of headphones I have bought over the years, including the noise-cancelling ones I bought for flying. It seems a bit dear for what it is.

I nearly always go with basic cheapo flight so I rarely get a movie.

Update: Still In Stock

Cold... I actually sell them for £2 inc P&P on eBay.... so its actually quite a lot cheaper if I buy them off myself xD
