I was on the verge of getting a gtx 1060, would this be a smarter purchase?

In short, yes!

This will likely be the best 'bang-for-buck' if buying a new card in the next two months.
Although many will wait for the release of AMD's next generation mid-range Navi cards, which will bring all prices down.
If I was buying a card now I would buy second-hand. I follow alot of eBay auctions and cheap GTX 1070's go for £170-185 (1070 ti's £225-255) which are better value than any new card until Navi arrives.

Having a 2 year warranty and getting Ebuyer to honour it may be a different matter.

But as the main board to made by Foxconn the only likely point of failure would be the fans. There's shouldn't be too hard to find on eBay or AliExpress if needed.

Manufacturers service center is in Taiwan. So sending it for service is not really going to be an option.

But none of the above would stop me buying one.
It appears that you buy AMD for 1080p or spend more for NVIDIA for 1440p or 4k.

If I was building a gaming PC today, this is exactly what would go in it.
I ended up looking at cards last night for a friend whose GPU went up in smoke, and I'm really surprised about how much bang per buck you get out of RX cards compared to the GTX models.

Good price for decent performance. This is better than the gtx970 I use. Perfectly good for a 1080 build

Can this manage 1440p?
Be careful those card could be refurbished mining card. The mining cards were sold around 60GBP in Asia markets.

Speed wise and price wise this has the edge.
But im not keen on most AMD third party cards.
The Nvidia ones seem better quality and usually quieter.
For the money it's worth a punt.
AFOX seems to be a spinoff of Foxconn - Maybe a place in UK for warranty ? - kitguru.net/com…uk/

Any difference between this and the PowerColor Radeon RX 580 RED Dragon V2 Radeon RX580 Graphic Card 8192 MB?

Or get a 1660ti until NV fix the 20xx, and AMD release new cards.
Power consumption?

I haven't heard any issues with 20xx cards? Like RTX 2060

Unless I'm missing something, these are new. And a brilliant deal too!

Power consumption is irrelevant unless your PSU isn't upto it?

Definitely, was good for me for even 1440p for some games, only just upgraded to vega 5 just sold my nitro + 580 8gb for 120 which is a great price for what you get

Depends what game, fifa would get me 75fps, gta I would get around 50fps, witcher is a hard one but I would get average of around 47fps. There are not many games that are more demanding than witcher. Forza and stuff gets around 80 fps.
Very good prices for an excellent 1080p graphics card.
RIP 1650
Fault wise, nor have i. The problem is, if you invest in a 20xx card, you are left in a hold, no games, not games patched, no SLI. I brought a 1080ti strix, i know what the card can do, and it does it well, no redundant features, false promises. If the scene revives, performance improves, i'll jump on board.

Why would you be bothered about power consumption? A 500-600W psu is more than enough for a system with this 580 inside.

As mentioned above e-buyer are not the best for warranty and returns.
My personal experience mirrors the below
theregister.co.uk/201…ed/
Be careful with this company. Once they’ve given me a used card for mining instead of a new one.
Is a used gtx1070 for £120 a good deal?

assuming it works and won't die on you next month, brilliant.
I wouldn't buy this simply because of the brand. Never heard of them, and I've seen YouTube reviews of comparisons for Chinese cards Vs branded cards and there's huge differences.

From Ebuyer?

Pretty much none.

I've received faulty mobile phone from them.
Run the return procedure, sent it back.

Two weeks later I don't have money neither the phone.

Well the RX 580 is on average slightly faster, has more VRAM, comes with 3 free games and is cheaper. Seems like a non brained to me.

Cannot see any mention of free games in Ebuyer
Enough!!!

Clean your room the lot of you and come downstairs for a game of solitaire with real cards
Great card for the money
