Good warning for a skim readers none the less.
Wonder if it’s possible to get these working through the Xbox 360 controller on a PC/Windows 10. It is possible on 7.

Can’t find much information on it. Some sites saying yes, some no, some that it used to and now doesn’t.

It could be an interesting extra use for it.

Somebody quick, go and buy it, try it and get back to me. Thank you.

I definitely used a 360 controller and the official wireless adapter for voice chat on Halo 2 Vista.

Whilst it was 12 years ago, I can’t imagine that was a GFWL specific feature, the headset must have shown as a typical audio output & input in Windows.

It works on 7 too. I would have thought the same, that it’s just like any other mic or headphone.

But I’ve read that it’s not so easy on Windows 10. But details are sparse. And any searches tend to show few results for the 360 and instead for the Xbox One.
