Thank you for posting. I had no idea such a technique was mainstream now. There seem to be a number of cheaper models. How well does it work with you. That is the question with any sort of headphone or earbud, but even more so here.
There's quite a postitive review here

theverge.com/201…iew

And reviews on Amazon seem positive

amazon.co.uk/Aft…h=1

There are obviously big advantages if you are a biker. There appears to be some sort of active noise reduction.
Voted hot because of the price reduction.
In my case, I really can't wear earbuds, they are too uncomfortable so these might be an answer but this from Aftershokz own review on Amazon sounds strange
'Enhanced Audio: Aeropex vibration is 30 degree tilted against face, this allows more bass and less vibration feelings. The vibration in human voice range is purer '

Want these from my wife for Christmas, been this price from here before, think it's worth playing the black Friday gamble?
I have an earlier model which are decent - I tried these on at the cycle show and they were far more comfortable than my pair because of the redesigned band Heat . There is also a limited offer coming up on their website - I will post the offer(y) 🏻

I've had the older titanium model for over 18 months and recently upgraded to the aeropex. Neither are going to blow you away with the sound quality and if its purely sound quality you want then your money is better spent elsewhere.

However, I walk and run on back country roads and being able to hear outside noises makes me feel much safer. The aeropex is a significant update from the titanium. Its tiny in comparison and fits my head a lot better. The sound is better, it's clearer and closer to normal headphones but I didn't notice the bass improvement that some reviewers mentioned. The vibrations are still there at high volumes but less so than the titanium. The aeropex has a magnetic charger to keep it water resistant rather than a plastic flap as in the titanium/air. This flap is what has started to fail for me, hence the upgrade. Although my titanium is working fine I've started to see corrosion around the charging port and think its only time before a rain shower will destroy it.

If you're on the fence about bone conduction then you could always try out the titanium which are still really good and hovers around the 50-60 quid and less of a hit compared to the aeropex/air if you don't like them.

Thank you, that's interesting. What about external noise? The youtube video above thought thet he wouldn't be able to use them in a crowded train or in a gym because they are quite audible externally.
I think I might wait for the two for one offer at Aftershokz.
At Amazon, they are about £30 more, but you can always return them for any reason

There is sound leakage and the titanium are worse for this. I don't use them for commuting so can't comment on how distracting they would be or how high ud need to have the volume to make the audible
I have the titanium ones, only use for running but they are great. I need music but hate being unaware of my surroundings, as said the sound quality isn't amazing but I'm more than happy with them for their purpose. I have proper earphones for music at home/work.
I've got the previous model - Air - and I think they're fantastic. I use them when cycling, in the office, at home, phone calls etc. Fine for calls if you're in a quiet-ish environment, and even passable when on the bike, from the other person's perspective. You do lose the bass somewhat, but I've become accustomed to that.
Would users consider these to be like having background music e.g. working with the radio on?

Personally, no. Although I guess it depends on how loud you have them. I've found full blast pretty much drowns everything out. For office use I turn them down due to sound leakage etc and can hear what's going on around me.

Because you know I'm all about that bass,
'Bout that bass, no treble

Me too which is strange as they are the manafacturer.
Love my titanium’s, use them for running, cycling and stuff round the house when being able to hear is useful. Had mine three years but on the last legs I think (repaired with some sugru) so I will drop on the direct deal hopefully. Good price for these though! As above sound is not awesome but perfect situationally.

I found today that the sound quality is alot better if you block your ears or wear earplugs, but then it kind of defeats the object of these...

Is the Strava challenge offer any good for you ? Don't know if they have stock for that still. If you are not a runner and know anyone else not taking advantage get them to join (past 2 weeks runs count towards 1/2 marathon challenge)

I ordered at ~11.30pm but haven't yet had an email confirmation. I'm not entirely sure why this midnight sale started before midnight so I'm half expecting my order not to be fulfilled.

I did but didn't find it until this morning, it went straight to my junk folder
I think it may have been just a publicity stunt. Maybe they didn't give out any reduced price sets.
Could not find order email but have delivery confirmation from a firm called Maxiiim Ltd via dpd.

Another 500 10am 27th
