Thanks for this op....now all I need is a project to manage.

Actually thinking about it ....me watching all these free Udemy courses for the rest of my life is a project in itself....my brain capacity is definitely a finite factor that would put the project at risk. Heat added

I think you may have to pay for the certificate at the end. But still a good deal for some knowledge
Certificate is optional and useless. Unneeded.

If you buy the certificate and take it to a job interview for agile dev they will laugh at you
A reviewer gave this course five stars with this comment, "The teacher has a big accent and his english is terrible". Hmmm

Why this obsession amongst career sites and education providers around project management all the time? I groan everytime I see it. Be a pro project manager by sitting a 1 week course and getting a "well done chap you're a PM now" piece of paper.
However, voted hot as the concepts here will be useful reading (and its free). But I didnt know having the ability to write agile user stories was required to be a PM.

Its basically anything that solves a user problem/pain point and provides user value.

As a HUKD user I want to see awesome deals so I can save some money - for example

You'd be surprised mate, good project management can wreck or make the product great, no matter how awesome the team is, once its a big enough team you need to apply good project management to make it a success.

Its not a programming skill - its more a way of working or process learning - which motivates you to think in terms of what user value you are creating by doing what you are doing - and releasing incrementally and improving it in small iterations - rather than doing all of it together and then realising this isn't what the user wanted.

The concepts of DevOps, User First and prototyping are all interlinked and Agile as a methodology underpins a lot of those thinking process in general.

My user story: As a polarbear I want to eat seals and fish, with the functionality of eating pringles, sometimes my suppliers are late and we need a way to compensate for that and my habitat is under threat from global warming so we also need to understand those factors.

I can also do this in rational if required......

I have signoff from management to mess everybody around to satisfy my ego and because even though I was informed early on... I decided not to listen!

I listened to the first few minutes then gave up. My 'user story' for a training course starts with a presenter I can understand. I couldn't catch a word of what he was saying unfortunately. You get what you pay for, or in this case don't pay for!
It is free, so a good deal. But holy hell, I’ve started the course and my wife begged me to turn it off. The guy delivering the course has the most god awful accent, horrific speech cadence and quite possibly the worst accent known to mankind. If this is a freebie to attract additional purchases, they can forget about it. I cannot stress just how bad the presenter’s voice is - it is HORRIBAD!

You gave up after “a few minutes”?

After 60 seconds, I wanted to set my ears on fire.

I'm not sure what I should be surprised about (sorry if I've missed a comment). I've been an IT PM for 15 years but bemoan these "become a PM" courses.
