Fastest agp card i can find at the best price.
Thinking of upgrading my old agp motherboard pc so i can play some of the newer games.I know its not the best route(buy a pci-e board etc) but it might give my old faithfull pc another year. Can any boffins out there tell me how much quicker it will be than my 9800 pro with pentium 4 3.2ghz prescott? Will it cope with COD 4?

didn't even know they did HD4650's in Agp!

how much quicker? A LOT!
The agp interface mean s it won't run as fast as a PCI in similar circumstances, but 1gb RAM will help it...
For the price, it's a bargain!

Cheers for the info! Didnt want to pay for new m/board and memory etc

It will run COD4 probably around medium settings. I would check your PSU firs to ensure it can cope with the extra power this card will need though. I'd suggest a minimum of around 450w.

OMG Queeg is only a pentium 4 3.2ghz LOL Holly must have been a Celeron :w00t:

queeg, that AGP card coupled with your P4 should run CoD4 without any issues. Probably good enough on medium settings as Taintedone posted earlier.

My AMD64 3000 (s754, 1GB RAM) runs it with an AGP nVidia 7300 fast enough (around 30-40 fps), but in low-res (1024) and very little detail/effects.

You might want to disable some of the physics effects, which rely on the CPU rather than the card (this from indistinct memory, as I haven't played it in a while).
